  1. On my 2006 Diplomat, the water pump switch is on a different panel. I only have (had) the switch on the left to display levels. Since then I’ve replaced it with SeeLevel gauges and monitor. I have the old monitor panel shown above if you want it.
  2. To clarify, Tim and I are both correct… heat pumps on our coaches are very inefficient below 40°F, and they automatically shut off around 30°F. Newer residential heat pumps are a different story, but that’s not the subject of this post. 🤣. The technology that Dometic (Duo-Therm) used and still uses in RV heat pumps is about 40 years out-of-date.
  3. Penguin heat pumps shut off at approximately 30°F according to the manual.
  4. No worries! The plumbing in our coaches only have one relief stack. All of the sinks have an air admittance valve under them (somewhere nearby) to allow air behind water so it drains easily. You know they’ve gone bad when you can *smell* your gray water tank inside the coach. 🤣
  5. Mentioned by @granvillebarker in the Roundtable at the Gathering: Better air-admittance valve for coaches than the ones you can buy at big-box hardware stores: https://braxtonharris.com/products/pv112/
  6. Bethany Boston from Talin RV presenting on Interior Coach Care
  7. Chris Throgmartin giving a presentation on Body Caulking and Slide Floor Rot Repair & Maintenance Thursday afternoon at the Gathering
  8. The metal frame with the slides was original to the coach. I had to make some modifications to the frame with welding help from Russell Porter(@Dae Sung). I purchased the wood boxes (birch, dovetail joints, pre finished with clear poly) from The Drawer Depot for $325 delivered.
  9. Not the first one to do this, but DW wanted more storage in the pantry. Pulled out the skinny wire shelves that used about 1/2 (or less) of the space, and added 4 - 4” deep drawer boxes and 1 - 6” deep drawer box on bottom for the “big stuff”.
  10. Once a year we host a gathering for Monaco and related coaches (although several attend who have Some Other Brand) that focuses on maintenance, problems common to Monaco products, and upgrades. It’s held in Tampa, FL in February each year. There have been gatherings held in other places, but that was before my time. The other event that Stacy is referring to is the Ramblin’ Pusher’s Maintenance Session in Goshen, IN beginning 4/28 and ending 5/5. More information is available at http://www.ramblinpushers.org/index.php/links It will be posted on our calendar in the next several days, as will other FMCA and Monaco related events.
  11. Cool! Can’t wait to see pics! You’ll find a lot of helpful people on here as you learn about your new coach.
  12. Just heading down early for the Gathering! Thought we’d take advantage of Florida weather for a bit. 😉
  13. Bob, I’ve tried everything I know, and escalated it to Invision support. They can’t find anything wrong with the site and can’t recreate the problem. According to them, based on the data in your message, it *appears* your device is submitting a large number of carriage returns, similar to a stuck key on a keyboard. It could be some type comparability issue between your device and the site software, but since they can’t recreate the problem, they don’t know how to fix it Not sure where else to go with this… Scotty
  14. @pwhittle in the lead, followed by @vanwill52, followed by @Dae Sung, with me, @Scotty Hutto as the caboose. Photo credit to Debbie Hutto (No, I didn’t take pictures while driving!) Can’t wait to see y’all Tuesday! Scotty
  15. PS - You must be signed in to see signatures…
  16. I have on my 2006 Diplomat. It was relatively easy. Like 6-8 screws holding brackets to coach. I went in through the genny slide and was able to access them easily. Looking at pics of your coach, you have different headlights, but as long as your have room to get behind them the process should be similar. The only thing that hung me up was that intuitively, you would think the headlights slide in from behind, but mine actually went out (and in) from the front.
  17. This ☝️ It’s also a time when many Chinese traditionally change jobs if they don’t like their current job, which adds to delays. Some companies will see 20-25% turnover.
  18. Yes, we will have a swap shop set up. I’ll see about a bulletin board to post items on.
  19. I recently had a rash of people asking about their signature and others having signatures on posts. What I’ve discovered is for some reason, the “view other’s signature” has been turned off. I’m not sure if this is a glitch in the site, or if people have turned it off inadvertently. If you don’t see signatures on other member’s posts, please check the following: Go to Account —> Account Settings —> Signatures and make sure “View Other’s Signatures” is turned on. Every once in a while someone gets through without a signature. I correct those when I see them. If you see one, it would be helpful if you flag them using thr three little dots in the upper right corner and clicking on “Report”. Hope that helps!
  20. Nah. This group’s pretty tough - hard to impress. But if you’ll get us a complete set of un-patented design drawings, I’m sure Paul can whip one out.
  21. Checking into it…. Invision pushed out a maintenance (security) update yesterday and apparently it “broke” some stuff. Seems to have affected the Newsletter, too.
  22. I slipped it on the Romex, connected the outlet, attached the blue protective box to the Decora outlet using the screws provided. I used slightly longer-than-normal (1/2”) screws to then attach the outlet to the faceplate. I had to trim the “ears” off the box to keep from blocking the screws used to mount the faceplate to the wall.
  23. You can always buy them direct from Creality at https://creality3dofficial.com/ You can find a Creality Ender 3 v2 for about $279 delivered on Amazon. If you have a Microcenter nearby, they sometimes put them on sale as low as $199. Plus you can pick it up in person The other popular seller I’m familiar with, if quick delivery is not critical, is https://usa-m.banggood.com They sell various brands of 3D printers and usually have very competitive prices.
