  1. Nice. Did you have to modify the drawer for the sub to fit? And do you replace all the speakers in the ceiling and did they require any modifications? Pics of sub installed and new speakers installed please?
  2. Mine has done this once. I was able to pull a little and it has worked since. I lubed it and now try not to run it all the way in. I stop it maybe 1/4" short so it's not a tripping hazard.
  3. I am sorry to hear this. Bill helped me out several times too. Hail State Bill.
  4. Thanks Scotty. I think it will help a lot of people out.
  5. Any thoughts of having a section for campground recommendations across the US? I was thinking if broken down by regions it would likely be user searchable. I know there are apps and websites to use for this, but was thinking having that may benefit the people of this forum. Clearly, it would take more workfrom the moderators and that may not be worthwhile? Just thought I'd throw it out for discussion.
  6. The original box that came with mine has multiple inputs and push buttons for the TVs. They do send the signals via coax to each TV however, I have my rooftop satellite wired separately using HDMI. Here is a link to a selector box you could look into. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SWGSESO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_KQ1DKDR6PKEA200BDP54?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 There is fancier equipment out there.
  7. I have not experienced that, but if you have a long straight edge, such as a long level or similar, you should be able to check for warping. I'd try loosening the hinge screws a little and seeing if adjustments can be made. If not, what about thicker weatherstripping in the affected areas?
  8. I'll throw in what I know of my 06 Diplomat. I have a rooftop antenna with its own coax going to the switcher box. From there I have 3 tvs I can send antenna to. In my driver's rear bay, i have 2 inputs--one for outside cable and one for outside satellite (pedestals). That one labeled cable goes to the switcher box and works like it should. The one labeled satellite...I'm not sure if it's hooked up correctly or not, but I do not think it is as the PO added a rooftop satellite at some point and the connections seem to be off. I have a rooftop Dish that I ran to my DVD input on the switcher and it branches from there. Here's what I have learned. When I plug into the pedestal cable, I click cable as the source for each of my 3 tvs and have to reprogram them at that time using auto channel search. I also make sure I have the TV set to the appropriate channel 3 or 4 that the switcher is set for. If Ieave a park and hook to another park's cable, I would repeat the process. My switching box is the original that came w/the coach and it is on my list to upgrade the AV at some point. One suggestion: get you a plain TV w/a coax input and hook it to the pedestal first and get it working right. Then hook that TV to the next coax output you can find--maybe at that amplifier? and go from there. One thought: you said that 2 cables leave the bay, but only one comes in to the amplifier. That implies there is a splitter somewhere and from personal experiences in years past, those have a slide on them to choose the input. I'd think finding that splitter/combiner would be key. Keep us posted. Take pics and post too. If you haven't checked, pull the cover off the cable inputs in the rear bay and make sure they are tight.
  9. I live in South Alabama where humidity is a large part of the reason Southern women have large hairstyles. I keep mine in an enclosed non-climate controlled storage and am unable to cycle the ACs. I use 2 of the large Damp rid containers and change those out when it's time. I order refills from Amazon. So far so good.

    Inverter breaker

@k7jv I'm not sure if yours shows them or not, but on my platform I can see the signatures below the posts? I attached a screenshot of what I see. There may be a setting you need to turn on?

    Inverter breaker

@k7jv, all good points and good info. The OP does have his coach info (2006 Diplomat) in his signature if that changes anything with the thoughts. I have an 06 Diplomat also and mine has a Magnum 2000 ME inverter/charger. The first time my inverter breaker tripped, we came back to a cold coach as I was new to cooler weather coaching and we left for the day w no heat running. I turned on the heat pumps and plugged in 2 space heaters (2 cold teenage girls are not what you want to have in your coach, lol) and that was too much. I searched on the coach for 45 to 60 minutes before searching on FB and found to check the inverter and Bam, heat again. The second time, it was cold again, but we had the coffee pot going and my wife turned on her hair dryer.

    Inverter breaker

I have a 2006 Diplomat and have experienced similar inverter breaker trippings. As above, try different outlets or turn off certain appliances (coffee, space heater) when needed.
  13. I'd check the manual and I believe there are a lot opinions out there. I changed mine last year and the tech said the fluid looked brand new. If the PO had done anything to it, he didn't leave any maintenance records of it. Transsynd is an expensive fluid but now I know how old it is.
  14. I replaced my bedroom slide seals. The biggest part was the double bulb wiper blade seal. The new one was pushed on the metal tab for a snug fit. I had to use 2 diff sizes due to a larger gap at the top of the slide and had to order from 2 online stores. There are also other gaskets/seals around the perimeter of the slide for when it's closed. All of these require removal of the old and prepping the area for the new. Steele Rubber has a great RV video section that helped me see the process before I did mine. Here's the link when I did mine: Steele rubber https://www.steelerubber.com/camper-rv
  15. I saw this video on Facebook and found it informative about what can be done with the shifter pad.
  16. What protects the wood from scratches when the slides are opened and closed?
  17. Did you figure this out? Does the alarm seem to be in the transmission itself or with the levelers? If transmission, you can use the control panel to get a diagnostic code and go from there. If it's coming from the levelers, do they work as they should? When my Nason switch went out, my levelers wouldn't work, but my transmission was fine.
  18. I thought that too. But found otherwise. If you didn't read my post above, please do. I understand your theory using both jacks and airbags, but wanted to share my jacks experience.
  19. Jeff, I replaced my monitor with this one from rvcams.com. Tim is very helpful there. The new monitor is larger than existing and I used velcro Command strips to hold it in place. That allows me easy access behind it too. Sorry, no pic on phone.
  20. I'd like to share an experience I had one night. I arrived to site, slides out, let air out, then put out my hydraulic levelers. Got them where I liked them, turned off the leveling system, and went outside the coach when they suddenly and without warning retracted with the engage brake light flashing. The brake was engaged. My Nason switch failed. I can say, had anyone been under that coach at that point, it would have been bad. There would have been no time to escape. I replaced the switch and no more issues. That was an eye opener for me. 😬😬
  21. When I replaced mine it was a chore. Had to remove the screws and lower the panel and still had trouble. I ended up cutting the hole larger for better access. Mine was bad at the reel so splicing was not an option for me. Personally I've had good luck w hose parts at our Ace store. Maybe a plastic splice?
  22. Are you seeing any warnings? When mine did that, there was a light on saying the parking brake was not engaged, which it was. New Nason parking brake switch fixed that issue.
  23. Tom, it cam be done, but I am not the one to be able to tell you how. I would suggest you create a new post with your question as you will likely get more answers.
  24. What is it doing/not doing? Typically if low on fluid, you'll get warning beeps.
  25. I was able to take a good spring off one topper and go to Ace Hardware and find similar ones. I learned about these springs after losing my topper cover on the highway due to rusted springs. I still haven't replaced it bc a new one is over $800. I'm trying to find one off a salvage.
