  1. I have had a lot of issues with the visor motors, but never both failing at the same time. I cannot find a replacement tube motor that fits without manipulation of some sort. I did manage to get them working again by disassembly and reassembly carefully. Sometimes, it takes a quick down then up a few times to retract them. I hope you have 12 volts at the visor with the ignition on, at least then you know the problem is then in the tube motor. Removing the visor is easy as each is held with 4 screws and the wire is easy to access under the visor. The end cap holding the tube motor is held with two screws on the visor itself. It then just slides out. Good luck. At the last Perry Convention, a fellow conventioneer swapped out his visor/blinds for MCDs and gave me his old visors. This will keep me going for a few years.
  2. Mine intermittingly failed to operate in Auto. I found that switching the ignition around it would start to work. Now only Manual works. I had never seen a Operating/Service Manual before and was not aware of the holding of the power switch for reset. My question is if I do that and it works, do I now have to recalibrate everything. Or does the memory hold? Thanks
  3. I knew someone would have the name of the latch. I guess mine is old style, non adjustable. but works great. It has felt on the back of the tee. Even at the new price, it is worth it to not to modify the refrigerator. Fridge Fixer on Amazon. Thanks Tom
  4. For those looking for a latching system for the french door refrigerators, there is on the market a speciality latch first put out for the Samsung RF 18. They now have expanded to other brands. I tried to find them on the internet with no success and my coach is in storage miles away so I cannot get it. It is made of a twisted aluminum bracket which fits between the lower freezer door and the upper doors by using existing door bolts. The bracket has an opening that accepts a substantial plastic tee that inserts into the bracket during travel, holding the three doors shut. Just pull the tee at the stop to use the doors. When storing the refrigerator empty, it works in reverse to keep a small air gap between the doors and the freezer door. Has felt pad so no scratch on doors and no drilling. Installation is 15 minutes and not even noticeable. I found it here on this site (I think), so hopefully someone can provide the address of the manufacturer. It was not expensive, but I cannot remember the price. Around $30.
  5. What a rats nest! Thanks for the pictures. We know what to expect. The no mess flush system is accessable from the otherside and I found if the black tank is not dumped before travel, the possibility exists of toilet paper etc getting into the holes of the spray nozzle and settling. Next time it is used, another disassembly of the no mess flush to unplug it. I tryed to eliminate the low point with no sucess.
  6. Glad everything was OK. I take exception to the only Goodyear with most problems. It has been many years, 10 to be sure, Michelin had problems at least with my coach. I had both steer tires fail and an inside dual. I had installed Howard Power Centering so was able to safely come to a stop in all cases. I always checked pressures before trips in the am. Michelin replaced the remaining three at my demand. I was sure there was a fault with the batch which were under 3 years of age and were pressure maintained.. They were on a 38' HR before we upgraded to the Windsor. I now have a monitor system for pressure and temperature, and continue to check before each trip. Still use Michelin. Wish I could get the Howard Power Centering, but alas, the family did not want to continue the business. I do have the Safe-t-Plus.
  7. I agree, those made by Marinco BEP do not hold up. I have had to replace them.
  8. I throughly enjoy reading the daily posts and thank the work of our moderators. I also find that photos enhance the understanding of any post and are necessary when trying to replicate a repair or improvement.. Also, photos add interest to the posts. I therefore suggest that we all try to use photos in our posts as much as practical. Regards and happy travels to all,
  9. Sorry I have a Director zoom meeting at that time. Tomorrow? Love to meet short walk. Rich
  10. Mike Collins. What street and section? Would have stopped. Wanted to see what others do to their Windsor. We added wood floors, new digital TVs, and Samsung rf18 residential. Of course have some issues. Others need to list location if they want visitors. Maybe we can meet for a cocktail. Rich and Barb Cutler
  11. We are between B1 and B2 row16 multi gray silver Windsor 2006 towing red 2020 Traverse. However, Traverse is parked on road not at RV. Stop by. Rich and Barb Cutler
  12. Guess I'm lucky. I use a local shop, bring my own oil and filter if i have an extra, if not he gets one from local Cummings. Charge less than $150 plus parts. No wait as appointment. Only issue is shop floor is filthy as all his truck work is done inside and years of crap have built up. No pit. Most of business is road calls in his fleet. I quit the RV shop as minimum was $500 5 years ago for oil change. No pit there either. Rich Cutler
  13. I just saw this post and yesterday, in preping the coach for the coming freeze in Houston, saw this thermostat again. It is in the compartment with the inverter, and the Aquahot. This is on the passenger side and the plumbing manifolds are on the drivers side with the water pump. In the dump cabinet there is a rocker switch for bay heat, which I turned on next to the fresh water hose reel. I assumed it was for freeze control. I assume now that the thermostat on the opposite side is the control for that heat. I thought it was a 12v heat system, are you saying it is part of the Aquahot and there is a pump associated with it? I have never heard a pump come on. For freeze control, I turned the front furnace on at 56 degrees using electric heat source for the Aquahot. The storage garage has 30 amp power and the electric for the Aquahot pulls 15 amp. I had drained and air purged all the lines previously, but we are projected to see as low as 3 degrees here one night and under 32 for three days, so extra caution never hurts. The coach was purchased used, so I am still learning.
  14. FYI A little late. Agree with others. My Heat Pumps quit heating at around 40 degrees outside. 06 Windsor
  15. Like others, our coach came with the sleep number king matress. Because of that we now have one at home. The one in the coach, is dropped to "0" on both sides, to change sheets then reinflated that night, then not touched till next change of sheets. I do not think we have ever inflated using the inverter, nor do I know if it is plugged into an inverter circuit. But if Monaco installed it with a sleep number, you would think it would operate off the inverter if that is an inverter plug. I will note that I repiped the air line, from under the bed to top side, so that the matress could be slid down from the wall so the fitted sheets could be put on. You cannot make the bed without moving the matress away from the night stands. Our Matress is older as it has corded controls, not the newer wireless, if that matters. Rich Cutler '06 Windsor
  16. Out of hearing out of mind. My issue was the warning buzzer for the dash and what ever went along with it. It started when the coach went in for repair of an antifreeze leak and a slight high pressue fuel leak in the engine compartment, and came back with that buzzer alarm issue. We unplugged it from behind the radio. Of course we get the lights on the dash as warnings but no sounds to go along with them. Took it to my repair shop for internal RV repair, not engine mechanical, and they recommended to take it to Cummings as they was felt the issue was in a module and did not want to charge me for the time to do electrical tracing for all the possible sources. I have just left it unpluged for the last year as with COVID we have not traveled. I do not know if the parking brake is tied into that buzzer, I will have to check that out and see if I still have that buzzer on the parking air brake. If not maybe, it is my issue, and was unplugged with everything else. Otherwise I wish I had a wiring diagram to see what all is tied into that buzzer and trace the offender down. The plug is a multi wire plug to the buzzer behind the radio (06' Windsor). Any thoughts before I tear it apart? Rich Cutler 06 Windsor
  17. Thank You I found my Windsor '06 and it is much easier than pulling out the paper copy. Rich Cutler
  18. Boy, that is sad to hear. I had the best experiences. Haven't had problems for many years. Being a '06 coach guess all my problems have worked themselves out. My biggest issue was the hatch sticking down on the seal. They replaced all the seals. It is like my repair location says, "Do not get a new coach, you will only get trouble. You have the best they made." My last upgrade was a Samsung RF18, should have done it years ago. Got rid if the potential fire hazard NoCold. One before that to get rid of all the carpet for wood floors, including the slide. Kept the tile in the bath and kitchen. Rich Cutler
  19. I can guarantee that Fantastic will tell you how to correct the problem with a call or email. More than likely, they will send parts free of charge, if needed. They are Fantastic to work with, pun intended. Rich Cutler '06 Windsor
  20. Fantastic Thank you. Dave. Rich Cutler
  21. Mike, any chance that packet has the 2006 Windsor? Rich Cuter
  22. I see a lot of comments about the switch. My blind on th e driver side would easily go down. Multiple switch push or with hold and blind hand moves wold finally get a retract. I switched the driver and passenger motors and concluded, the issue was the motor. Could not find a replacement that fit anywhere. Eventually moved and taped wires and replaced tube motor and it works. For how long??? Rich Cutler 06' Windsor
  23. FYI. The Rearview Safety is now std equipment on many units. I paid $200 complete without the side camera option. I did not like that distraction vs mirrors. Color screen needed minor cutting the dashboard to fit.
  24. I had issues as well. Two wires are the right and left switches for the side cameras. Ground. Positive you found. Cannot remember others as it was 5 yr ago. In my case they were all tagged. Check along the wires for the tags. In my case the component came loose and shorted out the main board. Had intermittent problems before because of loose connection. replacement was $400 and it never worked correctly after. Weldex switched boards and screen again, but I think the old model cameras just did not work will with the new screen. I trashed it for a Rearview Safety system. Used the old wires. 25. Home Depot is where I got mine. Delivered to RVv shop that put it in through the driver window. Apparently easier than the door. I understand people do it both ways. Sorry for the loss redhorse819, the class action let you opt out for separate suites. Problem was not everyone knew of the suites. Lots of folks missed out or just did not file.
