  1. This is from a 96 Dynasty and most likely the same as yours....Dennis Ride Height Instructions.pdf
  2. Perhaps a picture of the faucet would help. My guess is it need a really good cleaning. Have you tried that? Also, you might remove it and take it apart. There might be a plastic sleeve that is broken inside. Finally,, unless you're really in love with that faucet, any kitchen faucet can be a replacement. Maybe even an upgrade....Dennis
  3. Andy, since no one has responded yet, I'll give you my opinion on filters. Others may agree or disagree. Based on my experience WIX filters are the best. You'll also find Fleetguard, Baldwin and Donaldson. Whatever one you choose, just make sure you purchase from a reputable source as there are many counterfeits available. That said, WIX started in the USA but now has filters made in several different countries including China. All their spin filters are Made in the USA. If looking at a cartridge filter, I'd specify USA Mexico or South Korea only. NAPA filters are made for them by WIX. As for the actual part numbers for the 8.1L Vortec 8100 Engine, I could only look them up on Google, something you can do for yourself. Hope this helps....Dennis
  4. Wow! I was not aware of those changes. Thanks for the education! After looking at your picture and knowing what's in my coach, I can certainly see why a mfg would have jumped on that configuration. Simplistic for sure but obviously not thought out too well. Thanks again for improving our knowledge base....Dennis
  5. Your batteries should be a 31P. Since your batteries should be OEM, look on the battery for the proper specs. If you have your manual, it will be in there also. I believe your coach specs at 950 CCA (Cold Crank Amps) As for mfgs Lifeline are probably the best albeit expensive. I went with Duracell's from Batteries Plus. 18 month warranty $125 each. Sam's Club also had them for about the same price but only offered a 12 mo. warranty. LifeLines are Made in USA....Dennis
  6. Good suggestion, thanks. I'm not sure exactly what or why, but I removed the brain from the unit, unwrapped some electrical tape that was around the 10 wires and found five of them clipped. Not sure if that was from the factory or some ace mechanic who worked on the coach. Anyway, I cleaned the contacts, re-wrapped each wire separately then together and re-assembled everything. It now works as it should. Straightened everything out and put all in it's proper place. Another problem done. Tomorrow I challenge one of the bathroom switches. I believe I've got a loose ground so it should be an easy fix. This stay at home order has offered me the opportunity to fix all these little annoyances that we tend to live with when we are traveling...Stay healthy everyone, and have a wonderful Easter.....Dennis
  7. Well, I did it to myself and now I'm looking for suggestions. Recently I searched under my dash for a 12VDC source and messed with the remote switch and cables. Now my remote only unlocks the doors but not the compartments. Any ideas of where to start looking for a solution would be appreciated. With the stay at home order, I'm going to the coach and mess again with the wires and see if anything jumps out at me. Any suggestions will be welcomed. It's a factory install and not an add on....Thanks in advance....Dennis
  8. Last year I suspected I had a rat in the engine compartment, as evidenced by 'debris' on top of the engine. I rigged a camera and this is what I found the first night. IMG_4301.MOV This was the SECOND night...Dennis IMG_4302.MOV
  9. Ken, and anyone else looking for information on DNS with Directv.... When you call, you MUST ask for the RV specialist. The entry level person answering the phone has a script in front of them that they are required to go off of. Their scripts do not include RVs/Boats/etc. only stix n brix. Also, if you've been with DTV for over 5 years they have a LOYALTY department that will help you immensely if you have an issue. DNS is $15/mo, requires a signed waiver and allows for East Coast OR West Coast but no longer both. ... Since we're all friends here, I'll tell you a short story about DTV. Years ago we were in Leavenworth Wa, and I had a remote dish out by the road. A guy with a fiver misjudged the road and ran over the dish destroying it. Next time we were in Wenatchee I stopped by a DTV office to see if I could purchase a replacement. The lady told me they didn't have any spares but suggested I drive around and find a vacant house and just take it! How's that for advice? I ended up finding one at a thrift store for $10......Dennis BTW Ken, sorry I did not get back to you sooner. Trying to get all my 'honey do's done. :)..D
  10. They used no sealer on my windshield when it was replaced. There's a rubber seal that it sits in. .Since this was my third windshield, they said the rubber seal must be replaced next time.....Dennis
  11. Time to have it checked by a competent truck shop. My coach started pulling to the right and I found out the caliper had rusted and was hanging. VERY expensive fix BTW. Unfortunately, IIRC, the calipers were specific to 2005, made by Bendix and are no longer available. Finding replacements was very difficult and no one wanted to rebuild them. I had to have a complete brake overhaul, done by Spetrac in Mesa Az. They did an excellent job and my insurance took care of a lot of the bill. Good luck, but I'd have it checked. My TPMS alerted me to overheating on that wheel so it was dragging while underway....Dennis
  12. A little late to your party Mike, but I'd encourage you to also replace the CO detector in the bedroom. Both detectors were placed in service at the same time and the life span on both are rated at 5 years. Both should be replaced.....Dennis
  13. Find a local company that specializes in mold extraction and let them handle it. This is the number one choice. OTOH, you can use a mix of bleach and water that will kill 'most' of the mold spores. it's up to you whether you feel you can adequately kill the spores that may cause health problems with your family. It becomes a cost vs convenience kind of thing and one that only you can decide. While you're mulling over your choices, consider what you'll do when/if it comes time to sell. Do you disclose? Not disclose? Tough decision...Best of luck ...Dennis
  14. Skirting, like front bras will scrub the clear coat. My experience has been that you can minimize the scuff marks but short of re-doing the clear coat, it is what it is. Someone else may have a better experience but that's what I've been left with....Dennis
  15. Monaco uses WHITE wires for GROUNDS. I would assume the red is constant hot and the black is switched hot. That said, the only sure way is to meter it. Meters are FREE at Harbor Freight with a purchase, if you don't have one. IMO, every tool box should have a meter and everyone should know how to use one.....Dennis
  16. Home Depot. Cut to size....Dennis
  17. Options are always a good choice, IMO....Dennis
  18. Gary, is that purple wire disconnected and taped? Hard to tell from the picture. Thanks ..Dennis
  19. I don't have the part number from when I replaced mine as I'm not at the coach. However, it's pretty easy to replace. It should be located on the passenger side firewall. CAUTION!!! There are two ways to access the valve; one from underneath and the other through the generator compartment. DO NOT ACCESS IT FROM UNDERNEATH! There are two wires connected to it, two screws to hold it in place and two air lines running to it. When you disconnect the air lines, your coach will DROP in about a second and a half. If you're underneath, that's where you will stay until the coroner arrives. The air lines are a press fit meaning you press IN on the collar while pulling on the line and it'll pop right off. Replacement is the reverse of removal...Dennis
  20. Hypoxia = exactly! Thank you. Saved me a picture. ☺️..I was thinking a simple mod would be leaving off the plastic cover but not sure if it would work correctly as the guy on the video said it redirects the air flow......Dennis
  21. Perhaps a dumb question, but how do these work with a regular AC unit? All of our units have a mirror assembly covering the opening for the AC units. Removing the bolts and swinging down the assemblies to clean the filters is a real PITA so I was thinking this may help. Or are they only for units that have the system hanging from the ceiling? TIA...Dennis
  22. My cruise control quit working too. I took the wheel apart and cleaned everything with CRC Electronics Cleaner and reassembled it. No issues for the past year and a half. (most likely jinxed myself now 🙂 ) You might try that.....Dennis
  23. When did Monaco change to black wires for a ground? On mine, all grounds are white wires. Regardless, there is a fuse in the P/S armrest for the step lights. Have you located and checked that fuse.?? It's one of the hidden ones....Dennis My mistake, sorry. That fuse is for the entry step. I was going off the fuse location sheet instead of the wiring diagrams. Disregard the fuse comment...Dennis
