  1. Great jacket. If it was an XL instead of an XS, I’d be all over it!!
  2. Our journey has been tent camping —> Coleman pop-up —> Trailmanor hardside pop-up —> Jayco TT —> Holiday Rambler Vacationer —> Monaco Diplomat. Of course, now that I’ve completed almost every upgrade and maintenance item known to man (and the Monacoers), we’re looking… Probably not our last coach. Before Debbie’s surgery, we were actively looking and found (what we thought) was the perfect coach… a 2008 Dynasty Renaissance IV. It checked all the boxes, and did NOT have the chassis MUX. Unfortunately, it had not been taken care of and had popped beltlines, serious delamination, and all four slides had wet or rotted floors. Not problems I wanted to take on… Since Debbie is not in a condition to go look at coaches, I’ve been “researching” and narrowed it down to a few choices. My wish list is: - RR10S chassis, 42-43’ preferred - Bath and a half (that narrows it down a LOT!); would like a tub but a shower will do. - King bed - Better awnings than our Dip (which anything on a RR10S is likely to have) - Prefer a pre-DEF engine (although for the right coach, that’s negotiable) - If I found all of the above and it had a residential fridge and wood flooring already done, that would be a BIG bonus, although I can do those things. Recently viewed coaches that seem to meet most or all of that: - 2008 Monaco Dynasty Renaissance IV - 2006 Holiday Rambler Imperial 42DSQ - 2006 Monaco Camelot 42 DSQ - Holiday Rambler Endeavor 42 DSQ - 2011 Holiday Rambler Navigator 42 DFT (Yes, MOST of these actually have a 2007 Cummins engine that is pre-DEF, despite the 2011 coach badge. Monaco/HR stockpiled a lot of engines. Navistar made this coach on the Roadmaster RR10R chassis with a 2007 Cummins ISL engine). Has a rear radiator instead of side, otherwise meets requirements, and wifey likes the idea of a slightly newer coach. If you know of other Monaco/HR/Beaver coaches that meet those requirements, let me know and I’ll check them out. If you own one and want to get rid of it to a really swell couple who likes Monacos, PM me. 🤪 The search continues, and when Debbie is well enough to look again we’ll resume our search for what I suspect will be our last, or maybe next to last coach (if our health and desire hold out…. I’m only 62! 😁)
  3. Yes, I’ve noticed the lag - maybe 1xsecond or so? Enough to cause a problem if someone zips up into your blind spot in that interval, so I’ve learned not to rely only on the 360° - it’s just one more tool. I suspect the lag is due to the processing of the raw images being merged to the 360° view. I haven’t figured out a fix… unless SzDalos decided to upgrade the memory and processor… As far as the position of vehicles relative to the coach, I believe that can be corrected by calibration. When I first installed the system, I did notice some offset. When, through my own fault (deleted all settings 🤦🏻‍♂️), I had to recalibrate, the offset seemed to be less noticeable. If you haven’t yet… buy an extra SD card and save all of your calibration settings… the aggravation you save will likely be your own. 🤪
  4. Retired Army and retired Vet…. I doubt it. Annoyed? maybe. Skeered. No. 🤣
  5. Bob, Have you called or emailed TireMinder support? When I had an issue similar to yours they replaced the offending sensor (I had to pay $5 postage). They were also very helpful in discussing the placement of my repeater based on their knowledge of my specific coach. Since then, it has worked well with no false alarms. Hope they can do the same for you. Here is contact info for the gentleman I worked with: Kyle Bianchi Minder Division of Valterra Products 3000 SE Waaler Street Stuart, FL 34997 (772) 463-6522 info@minderresearch.com
  6. To pile on… I use a TireMinder Smart TPMS with an old, dedicated (Gen 1) iPad Mini as my display. There are no other apps on the iPad Mini…. 4 years and it’s saved my bacon a time or two. I run Toyo M170 steer tires and pressures are set based on weighing done at the 2020 Gathering by Bill Groves, et. al., using 4 individual scales. FWIW I run my steer tires at 110 psi based on the weights and the Toyo tire inflation tables, and my rears at 90 psi based on same. I manually check tire pressures and tire conditions before each trip, and carry a pancake compressor in my toad (pickup). Not asked, but I also have Tyron bands on my steer tires. Having seen the damage a blown steer tire can do, I do everything I know to do to prevent that, but also to prepare for the unexpected. Check out videos on YouTube by Michelin and others on how to handle your coach in case of a steer tire blowout. Very informative, and some of the actions are counterintuitive (I.e., speeding up) Hope that helps.
  7. There an excellent, detailed write up by Bob Nodine ( @Bob Nodine ) in our Downloads section. I used this guide when I installed mine. Hope that helps!!
  8. Ted, Bill D passed away in 2015; the forum is named in his memory, as he was the founder of the Yahoo! group that was the precursor to this website We do have other owners of similar coaches who should reply. Also, I strongly recommend not posting your full phone number. Since the forum is viewable by guests, a bot could easily harvest your phone number and generate spam calls.. The best way to handle that is to ask someone to private message you, then provide contact info in a private message. Regards, Scotty
  9. Hey gang, good news! We busted out of the hospital and are halfway home. (Valdosta, GA) we will complete the journey today Yesterday was scary as heck, and I haven’t slept in days, but joy comes in the morning, and yesterday morning she felt well, all of her labs came back clean, and we were discharged. 21 days in the hospital; 11 in intensive care, a major surgery, and an infection/relapse... Might be about a year (2023 Gathering) before I “vacation” in Tampa again… Thank you for all of your well wishes, thoughts, and prayers. Special thanks to @pwhittle and @granvillebarker for taking care of Magic (it dog) for a few days each. Thanks to the ladies (and Gents) of the Monaco Gathering, led by @stacyhall for putting together the cards, games, and activities for Debbie (adult coloring books are a hit!) Special thanks to @David Pratt for helping arrange the extra days at Lazydays. Thanks to all who prayed, and who got their prayer warriors praying for Debbie. As much as we love traveling in the RV, home never sounded go good! With deep appreciation, Scotty & Debbie Hutto
  10. Heads Up: This thread is in danger of going off the rails into politics. Please remember to keep the discussion focus on RVs and politics affecting RVing. Fuel prices and a civil discussion of why they are rising is fair game. Blasting specific political parties or specific politicians is not. Personal attacks are not As a reminder, here is a link to the Site Rules: https://www.monacoers.org/guidelines/
  11. I created a new section in the Downloads section to upload STL files of your 3D creations for Monaco coaches (or any STL file, really) that you would like to share with other Monacoers members. Once we get home and can access my PC I’ll upload some of my files.
  12. Winner winner chicken dinner! But I want the Bluetooth version. 🤪
  13. Well gang, we spoke too soon. Had to take Debbie back to the hospital and she’s been readmitted for a few more days. How long do we have to stay here before I become a Florida resident? 🤪 Three weeks and counting today… Lazydays has a rally starting tomorrow, so we’ll be moving to a nearby park called Quail Run RV Resort in Wesley Chapel, FL. Lazydays has been very gracious and accommodating, and worked with me to extend my stay.
  14. Richard, I had the same issue about a year ago. It was as simple as defrosting the water tube feeding the ice maker with a blow dryer. Had to pull the ice maker to figure it out, but once it was thawed it has worked well since. It had frozen while I had the ice maker off for a few weeks in storage Hope yours is that easy to fix!! Scotty
  15. Monaco Friends, Debbie and I met with the surgeon earlier today, and Debbie is being released from the hospital today! Mel (our daughter, who is a Firefighter and advanced EMT) is here to help out, and we’ll be heading back home to Marietta tomorrow! Still a lot of recovering to be done (keep us on that prayer list), but being home and close to friends and family will speed up the process. Thank you for all the love and prayers as Debbie and I have gone through this “adventure” in Tampa. Let’s hope the Gathering next year is more fun!

The annual Ramblin' Pushers Maintenance Session (MS) held at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen, IN. The MS Calendar includes Early Parking Day (4/27) and Arrival Day (4/28) with a First Timers Reception at 5:00P. The purpose of the Reception is to acquaint First Timers with the Ramblin' Pushers organization and welcome them to their first of many MSs in the future. The MS program begins on Friday (4/29) with morning hospitality and the opening session. From there, the event consists of a program of more than 100 technical seminars provided by industry professionals and knowledgeable participants. We also present a collection of non-technical sessions centering on RV Lifestyle topics, such as major appliances in the RV, planning a trip in the RV, performing interior maintenance tasks and personalizing your RV. There is also an assortment of crafts projects and other activities (Bingo, a Book, etc. exchange, and an RV related Flea Market. The event ends on Wednesday (5/4) after a catered closing dinner. Departure Day is Thursday (5/5). The purpose of the MS is to deliver high quality coach maintenance education for selected brands of Diesel pushers and Super-Cs. The brands currently eligible to attend the MS are: American Coach, Beaver, Entegra, Fleetwood, Holiday Rambler, Monaco, Newmar, Renegade, Safari, and Tiffin. The Ramblin' Pushers organization was chartered in 1990 and has presented a Maintenance Session in every year since--except the Covid-19 years of 2020 and 2021. Many of our colleagues here in the Monacoers group are regular attendees at the MS. We would be delighted to have anyone who owns an eligible coach to attend. You can learn more about the Ramblin' Pushers by visiting our website at www.ramblinpushers.org and downloading these three documents in the big blue box. The Registration Form can be downloaded by clicking the link. It contains all of the schedule and fee information you will need in order to register for the 2022 MS. The Invitation file provides information about the event and the organization. There you can find the 2019 MS Program that includes the entire schedule of events for that year and the 2022 MS Registration Form. The Half-Page Handout is a concise way to introduce owners of qualifying coaches you meet in your travels to the MS. I hope you will print it, cut the pages into halves, and invite others to join you at the 2022 MS. There are QR codes that can be used to take the user to these documents on the Ramblin' Pushers home page. Most MS participants, especially owners of new-to-them coaches find the event very useful. It is the rare person who fails to learn something new at the MS. If you are a member of the Monaco Owners facebook group, you will have seen numerous instances of persons who just bought their coach and don't understand what all of the systems do and how to use them. Very often the first replies advise these new owners to attend the MS to listen to presenters and ask questions about the care and feeding of their coaches. I hope we will meet cbr046 and many other Monacoers at the next MS (April 28 to May 5). For your convenience I have attached the MS2022 Registration Form. 18. (Also sent as an email to all members, but since we have about 500 members who have opted out of receiving any emails from the site, I am also posting this on the site.) Hello Monaco fans! Since we have a lot of new members, I just wanted to remind everyone to check your signature and make sure that it includes, at a minimum: First name & last initial Coach Brand, Model, & Year Location** ** - Location is optional, but it’s helpful to include your “home base” or where you are if you are looking for service, shops, vendors, etc. Remember, that’s at a minimum. You are more than welcome to include additional info (toad, spouse, pets, etc.) and a picture (max size 200 x 200 pixels) of your coach, etc. Here’s my sig, as an example: Scotty Hutto, Webmaster 2006 Monaco Diplomat 40DST / 2017 GMC Canyon Denali / Marietta, GA

  21. Update… Good Evening Y’all! Debbie continues to recover nicely from surgery and get stronger. We spent a lot of the day handling details and getting her set up with a surgeon in Atlanta to handle the handoff when we go home. We are hopeful she gets out of the hospital in the next day or two! Debbie is in good spirits and is looking forward to getting home and continuing her recovery there with the help of our pup, Magic (who she hasn’t seen in two weeks). Magic is safely home with our daughter, and appears quite comfortable: Thank you for thinking of us, asking about Debbie, and mainly keeping us in your prayers. PS - I’m doing fine and learning lots of new “skills”. 😁
  22. That’s what I did on my 2006 Diplomat… and yes, I greased the zerk while it was open.
  23. Hello all, I wanted to take a moment of personal privilege and update those who attended the Gathering on my wife, Debbie. For those not here, the first day of the Gathering, Debbie was was taken to the ER and admitted to the hospital here in Tampa with a serious gastrointestinal issue. She has been treated in the CCICU at AdventHealth Tampa for a week as of today. Today we were informed she will have to have emergency surgery here in Tampa, meaning we will be here another 10-14 days. We had hoped to get her well enough to travel home for the surgery, but that’s not how things have worked out. Best Regards, Scotty
