  1. One more project to check off the list. Won't see you at the Gathering this year. We cannot attend due as I had to go back to work this winter just to pay the bills. The present economy has taken most of my retirement savings, so a significant amount has now vanished into thin air. Once Dumb and Dumber are gone hopefully I won't have to work and will be able to attend the 2024 Gathering if we even have one.
  2. I had mine replaced on my previous Windsor by Action Mobile Truck Service in Orlando FL for about $1500 back in March of 2020. Frankly, if you or someone you are having do the job, replace both at the same time. Why go in there again later and do it all over again.
  3. I didn't have one for the 02 Windsor and overtime, 18+ years of ownership, the dash sustained nicks, scratches, etc. My current 06 Dynasty came with a gorgeous grey dash cover and now that I now own one, I should have purchased one for the Windsor shortly after buying it back in 2003. JMHO
  4. People previously are correct, they are bay door switches. Plus, on some coaches they are also interlocks for the slides above the doors.
  5. Bob, Great information and photo. Did you mean to post the part numbers for the parts and forgot? That would help out numerous members who have posted on this thread including me.
  6. Bob, The secondary fuel filter on my ISL-400 is the ONLY reason for thinking about installing the FASS fuel polishing system. If I have to continue to change out the secondary filter I might as well stick with what I have now.
  7. I looked up on the I-Pass website this morning to see exactly what I paid last May to cross that bridge with 5 axles, 3 for the coach and 2 for the car. it was $14.25 for the one-way crossing. They don't charge going east to west.
  8. I have added a series of photos that I had saved from some other RVer who had done this previously. I also added photos of the LED lamps I had purchased from Fry's Electronics when I was living in CA. You have to be careful when disassembling the switch so not to break the little clips holding the rocker cover onto the body. Plus, I chose to add the resistor to the wiring harness instead of inside the switch body. I also tried various levels of resistors to see which one I liked for lamp brightness. The switch in my previous Windsor had four wires. There are only two functions of the Aqua-Hot diesel switch. One is to turn on the Webasto system, two wires, and the other is to light up a lamp to indicate whether the system is in active mode or has defaulted, two wires. When the system defaults the indicator lamp turns off.
  9. I use that bridge to cross the Hudson each year on our way to Lake Ossipee in New Hampshire. I have the I-pass and if I remember correctly it costs about $10 to cross with 5 axles.
  10. Check with Northwest RV Supply. I got tired of replacing them so I removed the blown incandescent lamp and replaced it with an LED lamp. Then added a resistor to lower the voltage.
  11. Jim, thanks for the explanation. The reason this thread was important to me is because the secondary filter on the ISL-400 that I now have in my Dynasty is basically way TOO difficult to reach by any normal human without getting drenched in diesel fuel and also not being able to see what you are doing. I haven't changed the filters yet, but they will be due later this spring. I am NOT going to do it myself and will gladly pay a service shop to do my engine service this year. If by installing the two filter FASS Fuel Polishing System will totally eliminate the unreachable secondary filter, then that would accomplish my goal. The primary is VERY accessible so that could stay possibly. I am more interested in eliminating the secondary fuel filter.
  12. I assume that you rerouted the fuel hoses that went to the original primary and secondary fuel filters eliminating those two locations, is that correct?
  13. As Bill suggested it could be your Clock-spring inside the steering wheel cover OR it could be the VIP Control Module.
  14. So are the two factory filters that came with the engine completely bypassed and blocked off from the fuel delivery system?
  15. Gary, You need to post exactly what devices you are referring to, make and model numbers. Then we can post a better answer to your question as people call some devices generically "surge guard's" when actually they may be totally different and compatible. Here is my experience. My 06 Dynasty original came with a Surge Guard model that talked with the Aladdin System which is now obsolete. The replacement model Surge Guard is 40450 which does talk with the Aladdin System is very expensive. The previous owner replaced the original transfer switch with a cheaper Surge Guard before I purchased it last year. The model that is in my coach now is Surge Guard 41260 with limited shore power protection. So, instead of changing out a perfectly good transfer switch, I installed the Progressive Industries EMS-HW-50C in front of the Surge Guard. I now have total shore power protection plus additional protection from the Surge Guard Transfer Switch. Works perfectly without any problems.
  16. I would also be interested if anyone finds a way to accomplish this task. After having an ISC-350 for 18+ years in my previous Windsor with both filters starring you in the face, I had to look all over for the secondary filter on my 06 Dynasty ISL-400. Frank McElroy had to give me it's location which I still have not put my eyes on it as yet. Every time I need to crawl under the coach my body says, "why are you trying to do that"? What a royal PITA!
  17. Those are called In-Vue camera system by Ramco.
  18. Can't help you with installing the reel as I have never been fond of using electric reels versus using the Glendinning Cablemaster Accumulator for the 50-amp electric cord. However, I do have some suggestions though when using the reel. Always unwind most if not all of the cord even though you may not need it all to reach the shore power outlet. Plus, try not to use the same stopping point on the reel when unwinding the cord otherwise you may end up with problems with the rotating surface contacts on the slip rings. Many members here have had to repair or rebuild their reels due to poor electric conductivity through the slip rings. (edited to delete triple posting of the above)
  19. Myron, I have tried the dipole antenna in many locations without success inside the coach. If the dipole needs to be run on the outside of the coach, then I am back to my original question and might as well install the 35-foot extension that I have purchased. I don't like to hang stuff out a window while traveling. When sitting in one location I have done that in the past on my Airstream motorhome but not on my Windsor or Dynasty. That little antenna worked just fine with my Tire Safeguard TPMS, that's why I gave it a try with the Pressure Pro TPMS. BTW, all of the PP TPMS sensors have permanent internal nonreplaceable batteries. I forgot to include that info in my last post.
  20. Myron, The PP was purchased new earlier this year prior to flying to Salt Lake City to pick up our Dynasty. I will NOT drive any vehicle that I own unless it has a working TMPS. I used the right front tire on my previous Windsor to program each of the sensors based on the PP instructions in the manual BEFORE leaving for SLC. I had previously labeled each sensor as to their specific location. Once in SLC, I installed the PP TPMS and off we went on our 2700-mile trip back to Florida. Within the first 100 miles or so I had one sensor on the tag that occasionally dropped the signal. Called the company the next day and he said that chances are I needed to have the antenna extension. I tried swapping the right front with the tag to check whether it was a bad sensor or not with no joy. On the 10-day trip there were a variety of different sensors where I would occasionally lose the signal then it would come back. Our next trip was to New Hampshire in May and then back to Florida in October towing our car. Again, there were various sensors that would drop the signal then return sometime later. I called the company again after I returned to Florida asking about their repeater that was in development based on a member's previous post regarding the repeater. They stated that it has NOT been approved and still has some unreliability issues. They stated at the time that the 35-foot antenna extension would be better than any repeater if mounted correctly under the coach with the end antenna hanging down such that each sensor would have a direct line of sight with the antenna including the towed car. So, I ordered the antenna and now ready to install it as I hate driving with temporarily dropped signals. Had that happen WAY too many times when I had my very first TPMS called Doran. On my very last trip with the Doran TPMS, I had 5 of the 10 sensors not reporting. That's when I removed the POS from my Windsor and sold it on eBay then purchased the Tire SafeGuard TPMS. That system was very reliable for the10 years I had owned it and left it on the Windsor when I sold it last April. I tried to purchase the Tire SafeGuard TPMS for the Dynasty but was told that the TPMS was now obsolete and no longer available. WRT the antennas that I have tried, the first one shown in the photo was from the Tire SafeGuard TPMS. I also tried a longer 18-inch antenna that I had laying around and finally I installed the 8-foot Di-pole antenna that came with the PP TPMS. None of them gave me a trouble-free experience. Here is the link to the Pressure Pro Pulse TPMS with photos. Pulse TPMS Monitor - Tire Pressure Monitor Here is the link to the 8-foot Di-pole antenna that came with the package. Pulse Dipole Antenna - Tire Pressure Monitor Here is the link to the 35-foot PP antenna extension. Cabled Antenna (SMA) Kit - Tire Pressure Monitor Here is the link to the accessories page. Accessories Archives - Tire Pressure Monitor Hopefully I have answered all of your questions.
  21. Myron, Here is the manual plus two photos of my PP Pulse Control Monitor. It came with a 10-foot Di-Pole Antenna which is basically as useless as the small antenna I tried that is in the photos. I also tried an 18-inch antenna I had laying around that I had used on one of my old Internet devices. No Joy. I have an old repeater from the discontinued Tire SafeGuard TPMS and a PP repeater that I had purchased thinking that I could purchase the PP Legacy TPMS which I could not. Neither of those work with the PP Pulse TPMS. Hence, installing the 35-foot PP antenna extension was my only option according to the Pressure Pro Tech person I spoke with about the problem. He stated that once the antenna is mounted under the coach facing down, the antenna with have a direct line of sight with all sensors including the tow vehicle sensors. I do tow a 2006 Saturn Vue when traveling. However, even on my trip from Salt Lake City to Florida when we brought the coach home after purchasing it, I was losing signals constantly on that 2700-mile trip without towing anything. Currently, not a happy camper with the Pressure Pro TPMS until I can get signal reliability. Never had this problem before while using the Tire SafeGuard TPMS for the past 10 years with my Windsor towing a 30-foot trailer or my car. PULSE-Users-Manual-01.09.18.pdf
