  1. When mounting base plates to a vehicle, you may want to consider using Class 8 bolts, and castle nuts, and drilling a hole in the bolt to insert a cotter pin when assembled on the vehicle. You can use a spacer for the frame thickness, and bench assemble, drill the hole for the cotter pin, then assemble on the toad. Use stainless cotter pins. We did, and had no loosening or failures in 10 years full timing.
  2. $1.74.9 CASH at a station in Kenosha, Wi. last week Tuesday.
  3. Gary K Thanks for your great informative post on the body/paint work done in Mx. Paul A.
  4. Our 07 Executive has petcocks on the air tanks to drain any condensation. They did NOT have a 90 degree dead stop, so one had to be careful when using. I replaced them with brass ones that had a dead stop. Paul A
  5. Hi John. Nice to see you post . Hope all is well. Paul A
  6. Any idea what the cost for that installation is? Paul A
  7. Th e process of finding an area in the sidewall to install that is my primary concern. You will have to determine where the bracing is. Depending on the age of your coach, you may be able to talk to someone at REV in Engineering and see if they can locate a drawing of your side wall. Or, if they had a drawing showing that location they would use, if that was an option on your coach. I think the bracing is aluminum, so a devise for measuring density may not work. Below are 3 pictures of what we did in our 07 Executive back in 2006.
  8. WE had a special basement tray that had a 1500# capacity fully extended. I helped a guy build this. It was great. and as full timers, you usually spend more time outside. This unit was in our 07 Executive. It completely utilized the basement compartment. Attached are several photos. The combination fridge/freezer was rated for 80# as a freezer. The grill had a quick disconnect to the coach LP. Left side was all storage. Tray was able to be locked in place every 8" as it was extended. We ordered the coach without a curbside front slide. Always in the way and the basement access was so convenient. More useful patio area too. Paul A
  9. Jason I had a fuel line leak on our 10K generator. I replaced it and the fuel filter on the generator with a Garber fuel filter, as used on the Aquahot. Mounted it on the rear panel, outside, so it was much easier to service. NAPA made up all new fuel lines at that time. Worked great and simplified the fuel filter change on the generator. Paul A
  10. Gary I replaced all my intake ducting with components from intakehoses.com. on a ISX 525 Cummins in our 07 Executive, AFTER the 5 year warranty. I did a lot of research and talked to a lot of knowledgeable people on the subject. That ducting causes air friction due to its construction and bends in it as used in our coaches. Class 8 trucks do not use it. They ALL use rubber fittings and/or aluminum tubing, which i purchased from intakehoses.com. That is what i converted to, and i will tell you the difference in performance was great. At that same time, i replaced my muffler with a straight thru resonator from dynaflexproducts.com. They are the largest MFG. of Class 8 truck exhaust components in the U S A. I also replaced the OEM Air Cleaner with one from AFE, Advanced Flow Engineering out of Ca. The A C is not on their web site . You have to call them. Overall performance was great and fuel economy went up 1 MPG "cruising". Bottom line; More CFM of air to engine, and NO back pressure in the Exhaust. And NO negative effect on Turbo. I did all of the above in 7-2011. The photo is of the Aladdin screen during one phase of traveling we did. I cruise at 60-62 MPH, 1350 RPM. Paul A
  11. I would suggest you obtain a manual on line. They usually take you to a point of success for the current issue. Paul A
  12. I had body mounted camera's on a 05 Dynasty we had. They were as effective as the mirror mounted ones we had on our 07 Executive. Paul A
  13. Doug Remove the defective items and take to a fab shop. They should be able to reverse engineer, duplicate, them. Ask the guys at a truck repair shop. Stay away from RV repair. Many truckers experience the same failures. Paul A
  14. Brian Cramer is on this face book grour; Monaco RV Owners group. Paul A
  15. Is this the new policy? YOU will edit or remove ANY For Sale posts? Paul A
  16. Take the strip you want to replace to a local shop that does Bath remodeling. It's the world they function in. NON RV application thoughts usually provide an answer and solution. Very few components in a RV are designed JUST for a RV. To small a market.
  17. Go to; tkane.com Awesome axle covers. Saves lots of that polishing and look great.
  18. Go to your local Auto video/audio shop. They will have many choices to consider. You may have to do new wiring.
  19. Sounds like the top cover is trying to come down and seal. We had ours serviced by a local appliance serviceman. You do NOT need a RV appliance service man. Paul A
