  3. I would replace the 18 year old ignition switch. May not be defective, but a good proactive P M step. Paul A

  6. We ended up doing the same thing. That plastic clear hose is just not the correct one for that application. I also changed the cap to 7#. Paul A You may want to try using a mirror , one like the dentists use. They are cheap at harbor Freight. Check it when you start it up when the unit is cold. Paul A

  8. THE number -1- specification for me was and always will be the filter element micron size. Paul A
  9. Phil I would take several photos, then make a sketch with dimensions of the existing Air Cleaner and take it to NAPA. With that and the engine info they should be able to match it up. Keep in mind the micron size of the filter element is important. I provided that information when i ordered a AFE filter to replace the original one . Paul A

  11. A good local glass shop can do that. Take a picture and measurements to them. Paul A
  12. The state attorney general route is one way to address that issue. My experience in trying that, as a full timer, or anyone who is not a resident of that state where the service was an issue is, the state attorney generals office has a priority to us their budget $$$ on residents issues first. That was told to my directly by a staff person that state att'ys office. Sad but that's the way it is. Paul A
  13. This is another company that manufactures and sells a devise that other company's also have / do. The intended use / application is similar to other products out there, ie; Rettrobands and Tyron. Check it out if you like. Paul A
  14. Dennis Thank you for that great story and wonderful experience you had with the Grandchildren. When one of my Uncles came home from WW II he stopped in at our home and visited. He was a Ranger and my Dad let me stay up late and listen to his story's about his experiences. Inspired me. I was 11. I enlisted in the Army and attained that goal of becoming a Ranger in 1953. Never regretted it. Paul A
  15. William Try this web site. dynaflexproducts.com They are the largest manufacturer of Class 8 truck exhaust components in the U S A. Great product catalog. I purchased a Resonator from them, thru a distributor. At that time it had the best back pressure specifications. Most Class 8 truck Brand service entity's are distributors. Paul A
  16. Thank you for your comments. My experience during 10 years of full timing, using the Girard Topper Product was wonderful. They mount to the coach the complete opposite as other toppers do. The casing is mounted on the coach side wall, which creates the pitch you mention. They also have a small sweeping broom that contacts the cloth, located at the front of the casing. The water pooling is a definite contributor to the life span of the cloth and threads of the stitching. I had a friend, RIP, that replaced the toppers on a 2005 Dynasty 3 slide in 2006 to Girard Toppers. Cost him 4K+. He was full timing and kept the coach till 2014. So amortizing that over that duration, it's a no brainer. You may want to consider designing some brackets or ??? to simply reverse the current installation of Carefree, for example, and you would obtain the desired preferred pitch. I always thought that you could / would make stainless steel coils springs that would sell very well. A spring coiling machine is not that expensive and there is a market waiting for the product that you currently service. I have attached a link to a Girard Product Video for the convenience of our members to review. Paul A https://youtu.be/9lyt70Vl71c
  17. Richard, I would like to ask you a question about this post. Please send me an email to; ackermanenter at aol dot com. I have not been able to locate your email address. CRS at 86. Paul A
  18. I don't know if you would consider this investment in your coach, but you may want to consider looking at the Girard Slide Toppers. They are expensive compared to other brands, but the performance is perfect. I would never have anything but the Girard product. Paul A
  19. Richard, May i have your permission to share the Air Brake Test pdf with another site membership i am a member of? Thank You Paul A

    Tires

If you have the time and are located to try this, contact local truckers for the sale of your tires you are replacing. They like them for trailer application and will bring between 100-125$ each. This applies to 295-80-22.5 from prior posts and what i sold mine for. Paul A
