Gary Petersen Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 2002' Signature; I don't know what to call it, as it looks like a switch but, it's only a lamp. In my wet bay this lamp, which illuminates to indicates when the water pump is in operation, is not working. Looking for advice on finding replacement. Thanks, Gary
Solution Ivan K Posted December 1, 2022 Solution Posted December 1, 2022 For instance, here https://www.camperid.com/jr-products/jr-products-14v-10a-switch-indicator-light-1077394278.html Or JR Products 13315 Green/Black Indicator Light for Switch I just replaced the burned bulb with led.
Russ R Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 Ivan K how did you replace the bulb? Aren't they a sealed unit?
cbr046 Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 Sealed? Bwahahaha! I've taken mine apart, I just don't remember how. If you pry it apart and replace with an LED internally you'll need a current limiting resistor. Replacements are usually LED anyway (internal resistor). - bob
Ivan K Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 Yeah, I don't remember how exactly but mine did open and I use an assortment of 12v leds to replace whatever needs it. Like this: 56pcs (7 Colors x 8pcs) 12 Volt LED Lights Emitting Diodes Pre Wired DC 12v 5mm LED Assorted Kit Clear Lens- White Warm-White Red Yellow Green Blue Orange Small LED Lamps
Guest Ray Davis Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 I think it was Fred White RIP that just drilled a hole next to the switch and installed one of these. Indicator Light 12mm 1/2" Waterproof IP67 Metal Signal Lamp 12V AC/DC LED Pilot Dash Lamp Concave Head Red Green Blue Yellow White 5 Pcs for Car Truck Boat (Multi-colored, 12mm)
Tom Cherry Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 As LONG as this is NOT the switch, and just the pilot light, the JR one in the first post will work. Remember…LED, Neon, Incandescent……it don’t matter, it is a PILOT or Indicator lamp. Just make sure you pick a 12 VDC one. We have had folks that used 120 VAC lamps……and when they did not work, they started “experimenting” with wiring and such as created a mess and caused some expensive repairs. If you can’t find a snap in replacement, the the 1/4” or so hole and a tiny 12 VDC Led is a simple fix….as long as it comes on when the pump switch is ON, that’s all you need. FOR some reason, Amazon’s link or hyperlink is not working. Put the following in the Amazon Search box. RV Designer S361, Indicator Light, Red Light, Black Base, DC Electrical The one above is a twin to the JR, except you get a choice of colors….see the screen shot below… Good Luck.
DavidL Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 Remember with LEDs that the wiring polarity makes a difference...plus to plus, minus to minus.

No they are not sealed, I just replaced the bulb yesterday. If yours is Sigma, then push on the marked area and green cover will come out. You will see the bulb there, it is not even soldered, you just remove it and put a new one in. 3 hours ago, Russ R said: Ivan K how did you replace the bulb? Aren't they a sealed unit? Ali-026 Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 I used one of the LEDs I have in my toolbox. Honestly I did not like it much with LEDs focused light, so I am going to keep this one as a spare and ordered a replacement unit from JR 🙂
