  1. Glendinning Model M 50' Long Hose and Spool is an inch wider than the 35' hose spool.
  2. After much consideration I decided to replace the reel and hose on the coach. The 50' reel is 1" wider than the original 35' hose reel and I had the space. On a 45' coach it seemed like I was always a foot short of reaching the hose bib. It arrived today so I , of course had to immediately install it! The nut that holds it on the reel is 1 1/2" and the only socket that size I have is fairly long. The space is small so I used a pipe wrench to turn the socket. It was not easily turned so I called Glendenning to make sure I wasn't going to break something. I think it was about 5 minutes before they closed down for the weekend. Michael explained that I need to give it a little more love to break the nut loose, which I did with some pipe for an extension. It did get a little more complicated but in the end he was available after hours which helped greatly! There has been some discussion about the hose connection on the Glendinning Hose Reel, here are photos of mine, Model M Hose Reel.
  3. I did find that post informative. I have had occasion to scoot underneath the front without supports. I put the generator out which leaves a cubbyhole to hide in and also can hide under the axle. I scoot in quickly and make sure I have my phone in case the coach comes down and imprisons me. I'll need someone to deliver beer... I store my pipe the same place as you. I carry two pieces of the large pipe and have two pieces slightly smaller that fit inside the big pipe. I can't raise mine quite as high as you as I have limiting straps which you can see in the photo. I gave up Crocs for the flip-flops I still use the Crocs sometimes.
  4. It all is cured by that frozen concoction! I do enjoy Jimmy and sure miss John Denver and Chris LeDoux. I blew out my flip flopStepped on a pop topCut my heel, had to cruise on back homeBut there's booze in the blenderAnd soon it will renderThat frozen concoction that helps me hang on
  5. I like that 😄 I've been welding for nearly 60 years as a novice; I don't claim to be a welder. Everyone has their experiences; my brother had a piece of slag go into the top of his boot and burned a hole to the bone. He couldn't get the boot off fast enough. I do protect myself but I do wear flip-flops 6 months of the year and wouldn't fit in with the OSHA gang. I take the issue of protecting myself under the coach seriously but really, some comments must be from folks that are nervous Nellies. Does anyone here really have to be told to be careful?
  6. I was wearing my steel toe-nail flip flops but they fell off
  7. I carry 5 1/2" drill pipe, the white pipe in the photo. Here I'm doing some welding, you can tell that from seeing my welding shoes. Perfectly comfortable working in there all by myself.
  8. I would like to change the rear camera to something with better night vision as well as improved quality. Also would like to improve the rear docking lighting so I can see what's going on back there while in bed. Replacing the mirror cameras would be nice but not a huge priority as I already have a permanent crease on my head from those cameras. A good idea though, what cameras are you using? The interior camera could also be replaced and moved so the TV doesn't cover it. I like your large monitor, I never use the radio and wouldn't mind replacing it with a better screen. I just acquired a new toad, 2021 Ram, the video quality is amazing compared to the 2014 it replaced. I can imagine a similar improvement with your setup.
  9. Your rope lights are dimmable but it is Intellitec Multiplex PWM dimming instead of voltage dimming. Switching to LED has a high likelihood of flickering when dimmed. I have the same problem and will not go with LED. I replaced all of the other lighting to LED and they all flicker when dimmed. Owners of a coach that does not have the multiplexing would not have PWM dimming and would be giving you bad advice without realizing it. Intellitec PWM Module Pulse Width Modulation Description
  10. If I set the alarm when I am inside the coach, it will sound off if I unlock the coach using the keypad by the bed. It seems the only way to disarm the alarm is with the outside keypad or the remote fob.
  11. The heavy duty tow bar is just that: Heavy. I use one as I drag over 7000# but would go with a lighter one if I could. Air brake systems are great & I wouldn't worry about adding it. I am also looking for a new system as the original M&G I have will not work on my new truck. I have had systems that required connecting to the brake pedal every time and find that annoying. I will probably go with the M&G 2.0 or Air Force One.
  12. One option I would want is ventilated seating. My pickup has that feature and I find it more useful than heated seats in the Southwest region. I sit on sheepskins in the coach which are wonderful but not as nice as ventilated seating. If ventilated seating is out of the question, I would want a high quality fabric to put sheep skins on. Every airliner that I have been in has sheep skins on the pilot seats for good reason, they are very comfortable and neutral in temperature. They don't get too hot or cold.
  13. Wiring diagram page 152 shows the location possibilities for the Automatic Energy Select Switch. Page 156 shows the stacked washer/dryer wiring.
  14. Do you have the electrical diagrams? Page 139, 140, 151 may be of use. I didn't have time to look at the rest. 2006_Dynasty_Wiring_Diagrams.pdf Schematic - 110V Wiring Diagram.pdf
  15. Is it a combo unit or separate washer and dryer? It is normal to have the automatic switch to shut the rear A/C off when the washer is on. That would not normally affect the separate dryer . These photos are from a 2007
  16. I agree with the other folks that run water through it to clean it up. We use it for tea and find it handy to pre-heat a coffee cup on a cold morning. I wouldn't miss it much but don't need an unused hole in the counter top; already have a soap dispenser.
  17. If you have the Actia gauges like my 2007 I may be able to help. I don't know what years other than the 2007 have it. The Actia panel is easily identified by the daisy chained violet, orange white wires going from each gauge to the next. It has a module which converts pressure to an electronic value to the instrument panel. Here's a photo of that module and those wires. If you have this let me know & I may be of some help.
  18. I replaced all of my air springs last year. There were some that looked good but when I cut them apart they were not good. Much easier to do it in my shop then dealing with the delay and unknown shop while travelling. Inside split Outside split Old and new New air spring tag
  19. Here's an excerpt from a 2005 Monaco Executive Owner Manual showing the ride height adjustment information. Adjustable Ride Height.docx
  20. I can always tell when someone idles through the campground without a muffler and it is always annoying. The idea that it is not is laughable.
  21. Monaco also used another company for some coaches including my 2007 Signature. The "Monaco Kit #" label on the wiper motor is where to find it: Diesel Equipment Company Wiper Technologies Wiper Technologies 877-307-7059 Greensboro, NC Label on my wiper motor: Monaco Kit # 09309035 Arm RA680-25RH Torque to 35 FT Lbs. wait 45 minutes and retorque to 35 FT Lbs. 36” Blade BA900V (V means vented blade)
  22. 2007 Signature I just replaced some weatherstrip using AmeriSeal Weatherstrip in stock and available at Space Age Paint in Mesa, AZ. 19600 in the rear bath and rear closet for the engine covers on the floor 15800 for the bottom of the curb side slides
  23. I've used Flo Rite for around 8 years with zero problems. I like it.
  24. Why is it always the pickle jar that is the first one out when the door swings open? Someone I know seems to forget to latch the door and no matter where the pickles are they seem to jump out first......
