  1. The access on my 2007 Signature is limited and I found it to be much easier with the solenoid tool HWH sells. I made a tool for the first one I replaced. Get the old one rebuilt for a spare, HWH is reasonable on rebuilds. HWH Solenoid Tools
  2. Not good to add oil unless you are replacing a part. Excess oil accumulates in the condenser reducing efficiency.
  3. What would it take to add seat ventilation like my cars and trucks have? I would use it frequently, I rarely use heat. I would like to change my seats to integrated seatbelts and footrest as those were removed when the air ride was added to the seats.

  6. There are video examples of the liners vibrating in the block of engines lugging. What happens in a cylinder Liner Cavitation
  7. TSD is hit & miss since they have been using TA/Pilot. Sams/Costco are great when you can find them and the challenge of working your way through some of them can be entertaining. A lot of fuel stations are not designed with a 45' coach in mind.
  8. One of those should be placed below the spa hose which always leaks at some point on every camper that has a kitchen sink in a slideout. For the stick house I would like to have one that plugs in to 120V and has Wi-Fi. Perhaps the house alarm has an option, I'll have to check. I do turn the stick house water off when travelling but it only takes a few minutes to flood a building. Now that I think of it, I would like to have a Wi-Fi temperature alarm in the stick house refrigerator which we do leave running when we travel.

  10. Pete, Velocity Truck Center, formerly Freightliner of Arizona in Tolleson had Alliance 31 series starting batteries cheaper than anywhere else I have found, perhaps 8D also. (623) 907-9900. I have had good service with them.
  11. Timely topic, I have the Mito EXC-100 rear camera which still works but would like better clarity. I don't know if there would be much improvement using the original Kenwood KVT-M707 monitor with a newer HD camera? It mounts behind and looks through a hole in a metal plate which has a nipple for "Camera Air", which is high pressure air to blow debris off of the camera lens when driving in rain. It is very effective and has a Camera Air switch mounted beside the driver.
  12. Do you have a Smart Wheel? Do you have DRL Daytime Running Lights?
  13. Normally you would crimp a new fitting on a new piece of hose and then crimp that to the old hose. Sometimes there is a proprietary fitting that has to be re-used and is welded to a new fitting on the new hose, I had to do that on my compressor fitting. Crimping a fitting on an old hose comes with the risk it will leak, but worth trying, mine has not leaked. My heater line is a metal pipe from front to back with heater hose on each end.
  14. 120 gallon 10 HP, 20 gallon 2 HP & a pancake. I use air tools and a bead blaster frequently. I use the coach compressor on the road and don't carry a portable.
  15. Does it have the Trimark system? Trimark Doorbell Warning.pdf Door Tri Mark Lock UM17_22271-03_2013-07-Rev_5.pdf
  16. This is what Cummins Quick Serve shows for my ISX. The pressure cap is used to increase the boiling point which varies with altitude and percent of coolant. Minimum Recommended Pressure Cap With EGR 103 kPa [15 psi] Without EGR 50 kPa [7 psi]
  17. Here's the service manual. Service Manual VTL05M001-SM-1.pdf
  18. I would like to see someone that has the MicroAir Thermostat address the points made in the MicroAir review, it is the only review I can find. Also, what thermostat was replaced, a 4 button or 5 button or??
  19. I read some reviews and decided they need to refine it more. Micro Air Review

  22. When you disconnect the hose from the fitting, cut about 1/4" off of the hose and clean it to insure the new fitting doesn't leak. There will be an indentation in the hose from the old fitting. I block the frame with pipe that has at least 1/4" wall thickness.
  23. They show a replacement for the 5 button Duo Therm thermostat, has anyone tried it? Easy Touch 5 Button Replacement Thermostat
  24. Did the "Fake 50 Amp 1" pedestal have a 50 amp breaker? I haven't run into that although that's what a 50 to 30 adapter does. Your "Fake 50 amp 2" is what the cheater boxes do, I use one frequently for 30 amp 240 volt input. It's rare to be able to use the 20 amp receptacle as they are normally GFI. My transfer switch/surge guard is a hardwired Southwire 40350-RVC which works well along with a Hughes Autoformer. In Mexico the Southwire unit shut the electric off due to high voltage (140 VAC on each leg) at night. It shuts it off above 132 VAC, I think the Progressive unit has the same parameters.
