  1. "I just wonder if the Mexican manufactured filters are now inferior to the older American made fleet guards."? I would say yes for at least the threads. Basic machine shop work. Someone/s not paying attention.
  2. When you changed the filter did you fill it with fuel? You may have air in the system.
  3. I have the SeeLevel and I like it. For solar I use a Victron BMV-712. This uses a shunt to measure battery state of charge. The only true way to measure it. For a solar controller I use a Victron 100/50. Tim
  4. The answer is not very well. The inverter is reading battery voltage so if you put a heavy load on the batteries it will shoe them low and recover after a while like you saw. The BMV will always be accurate. If you use the AGS to start and stop your generator have it shut off at 90%. But again, your only guessing measuring batteries state of charge with voltage.
  5. The invert does a poor job of measuring state of charge. You should buy a battery monitor that uses a shunt. This is the only accurate way to measure SOC. Look up a Victron BMV-712, It will be the best thing you ever did for your batteries. Tim
  6. I'm right down the road from you Jim, In Wasta, SD. I will be there in the Bad Lands on Tuesday If your still there we should meet for a cold one. Tim
  7. Had mine done a couple of years ago and they were great! Tim
  8. I have 7.5 and it has 2585 hrs on it. The cold and altitude will effect any diesel. They are not turbo charged so that doesn't help either. My does the same thing in the cold but once it warms up it's clean. If it still will make ratted power after warmed up and not blow smoke it's fine.
  9. I must Have missed it. Banks no longer makes the turbo kit for the 8.3 Cummins. If you enlarge your exhaust to 5" diameter and change to a straight through muffler it will help mileage and maybe a little power. My big power comes from 30-35 psi boost depending on temp.
  10. X2 on what CUBFLYER said. Mine is in the same place. If you haven't drained the coolant you better be fast. You can try a shop vac attached to your coolant recovery tank.
  11. You should go to Massy diesel...much much better then Cummins. They have mechanics not techs. Ask for Tom.
  12. It should be far forward under the top of the dash. Copper wire connecting to an aluminum ground bar doesn't work well. Who at Monaco thought this was a good idea? Tim

Make sure you have your air on Max air. That will pull the air from inside. If you have it on anything else the air comes from outside. Tim
  14. Get your coach corner weighed. You may ride height valves in the back out of adjustment to each other twisting the chassis. They are easy to check and adjust. Guys on here will have the specs for your coach. The picture below is what it should look like. Two in the back by the axel. Tim
  15. When my wax valve failed the fan ran slow. That's why I had the over temp problem.
  16. I agree with Frank. I also had to replace my wax valve when my fan was not running correctly. It’s easy to test by disconnecting both small hydraulic lines off of the valve and capping them with brass plugs. Running the engine with these two lines capped will run the fan wide-open. Good luck with solving the issue. Tim
  17. I had my Turbo rebuilt in 2018 (complete, new impellers, seals, only housing stayed) $1050. Massy Diesel in Phoenix, AZ. And this is a large Banks Turbo. Tim
  18. Mine are on the A/C compressor in the engine compartment. Tim
  19. On your new thermostat did you reset it after plugging in the phone cable? You do that by Plugging it in, Turn it off, Push in the top and bottom buttons at the same time and turning it on while holding the two buttons in and then release the buttons. You should see FF in the screen. Then just turn on the mode you want. Tim
  20. On your battery maintainer (green on right side of picture) you should have a green light on when your generator is running or plugged in. Is it? Tim
  21. Also make sure your slide mechanism is mounted tightly to the floor. With use they seem to work their way loose. If it is loose it allows the slide to cock and bind or strip gears. It happened to mine.
  22. Merry Christmas to All and may God Bless You and Yours!
