  1. Bob Nodine, excellent description of what this system, soft start, does. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
  2. Sharon L. I installed the "soft Start" brand. I think if you tell them I sent you, you and I both get a refund or something.
  3. I've had many issues running on 30 amps, who know why for sure, but I installed the soft starts on my 2 A/Cs and have had no issues with installing and using them. Good instructions and good tech support (if you overlook something in the directions, as I did for 1 unit). I've only been on 30 amps a few times, but all worked well.
  4. Sorry about that I thought it was listed in the bottom of my post. I have a 2001 Monaco dynasty 40 ft queen with a 8.9 L Cummins 370 hp engine. Does this help?
  5. How do I know if I have a hydraulic filter for my van? I didn’t know there was such a thing.
  6. When the fluid was changed in my 2001 Monaco Dynasty 370 HP 8.9L engine it took 9 gals (36 quarts)
  7. I have a hydraulic and I tow a 6000 pound four-door full size pickup behind.
  8. So he gets a good deal, free, because someone shared, but is not willing to let someone else have a good deal by sharing himself. Nice attitude.
  9. Any chance I can contact him to see if I can use it?
  10. I have the same dash exactly, do you still have the template that could be used again for a dash like mine?
  11. Have a part number by chance for the time delay relay?
  12. I agree it is the air ride valve, but i think the "leaking" is really exhausting of the air from a bad or stuck exhaust valve or solenoid (solenoid goes over the valve). If you can identify the correct valve, you might try tapping it to see if it becomes unstuck until you can replace it. I think if you follow the plastic tube that goes to it (closest to the venting tube) you can follow it back to the bad valve. I just replaced one on my rig but was lucky it was the solenoid and was able to leave the valve in place (I am traveling and did not want to replace the valve and have to vent the air). Once you properly identify the correct valve/solenoid you might try unplugging the power to it, in case it is stuck on/open for some reason because of another electrical issue. This is a less likely issue, if everything else works fine, but an easy thing to try.
  13. My engine voltage gauge has always read high, around 18 volts, although now it looks like it is actually reading off the gauge so high. It's hard to get in there and measure the actually voltage on the gauge, but the voltage to the batteries, at the batteries, when the engine is running, is about 13.5v to 14v DC, which I think is fairly normal when charging. The voltage at the gauge with the key on, but the engine not running, is about 16, and about 18+ when the engine is running, so I think everything is normal except the gauge. Is this gauge adjustable (i.e. is there a reostat that I can tweek to lower the reading? I'm thinking of just buying a digital voltage gauge that would plug in to my cigarette lighter socket, and use it. Anyone see an issue with this? I guess I can also just buy any 2" voltage gauge to replace this one, right? I'm thinking a digital one would be easiest to read. Thanks, Bill
  14. Based on the feedback from everyone, I would like to swap my 2000 watt Magnum ME2012 inverter/charger with a pure sine wave inverter/charger but there are so many out there I have no idea which option to chose? Even among Magnum's (Sensata) line, there are MS Series, MS-AEJ, MS-E, MS-PE, MS2000, MSH, MSH-RV PSW, NP Series, etc, and that’s just from one company, How do I chose? My first thoughts are: I think it would be easier to swap it with a similar model, magnum, that will fit in the same area, use the same remote wiring, use the same thermo sensor wiring, etc. Any suggestions/thought? Thanks, Bill
  15. What is a MSW and a PSW. So do not have the best type? What should we get?
  16. We have had 2-3 Sunbeam electric blanket controllers go bad recently when running on the inverter. Out heating pads won't work after being left plugged in to the outlet, running on the inverter. To fix them, we have to unplug them for about 15 seconds and then plug them in. Our electric clock always run fast on out inverter. Is our inverter working improperly? Our inverter is the Magnum Energy Inverter model: ME2012, version #: 5.4, about 5 years old. Our inverter normally runs once shore power is cut and while we are driving down the road to our next camp site. Anyone experience similar things? Thanks, Bill
  17. I think normally they only throttle back the speed once you’ve exceeded your data limit, isn’t that correct?
  18. The thing that bothers me is the comment: "AT&T may temporarily slow data speeds if the network is busy. See AT&T broadband info" The can throttle you back whenever they want, can't they? Bill
  19. this link below worked great, thanks http://forum.rvhydronicheaterrepair.com/content.php
