First question I would have is if the fan is coming on with demand for heat. Can you post the schematic for the unit as well?
-
My search says your 38’ 1994 Dynasty which weighs 29000lbs has a GVWR of 32000lbs. However it also lists the chassis as being a Freightliner with a 300HP Cummins engine so not sure how accurate it is now, I would have assumed a Roadmaster chassis?

Bedroom closet yes. Have had some good times under there. Lol. -

My ISB fan is easily removable with just four bolts. No need to remove the radiator. Just have to be a bit of a contortionist. -

Well if you’ve ever had your crankcase breather tube melt off because of a really bad exhaust leak on a cross country holiday in east coast Canada, you’d find out that the engine side of your radiator will get completely covered and clogged in oil, indicating that the fan is indeed blowing the hot engine air through the radiator to the outside. Ask me how I know. 😡 -

You checked your ground connections lately? Seems like you are having power issues throughout. All your other 12v stuff works? -
Excellent!! I think I might have to do this. Basically have the same mechanics as yours, same front cluster as well. Mind sharing where you sourced your gauge from? Thanks. If I remember correctly, the Bluefire 9-pin Port in the engine bay could display the transmission temperature but the 6-pin port in the drivers bay didn’t display that data for whatever reason. Would be nice to see it in a real analog gauge like it was meant to be there, and I wouldn’t have to worry about buying and routing a 9-pin extension cable for the little bit of extra data the Bluefire provides.

They don’t work at all, or only when you depress the brake pedal? if it’s the latter, that is by design on the older systems. Mine is that way and I don’t like it.

@Gweedo What did he say about replacing airbags due to age? I’m considering changing the four on mine due to signs of weather-checking on the front ones mostly. I have yet to find the actual part number or suitable replacement for my Cayman however.

@1nolaguy These ones (not source)…Sorry Cherry Product (2) - Heavy Duty Series Front (24-186582) (2) - Heavy Duty Series Rear (24-186599)

Can’t speak for Koni, but I replaced the 4 just on my R4R chassis with Bilsteins last spring and I noticed quite a difference. So did my wife. I could honestly drive quite confidently with a coffee in one hand it was that much of an overall change. Bumps were less noticeable and coach just felt easier to handle in general. Perhaps that’s just because they’re new and I’d say the same for the Konis had I opted for them. 🤷♂️

My ‘05 Cayman has that sensor in use for the dash coolant temp gauge. This coach does not have the Aladdin system. On my maiden voyage home with the rig, the coolant temp gauge was constantly flying all over the place. I pulled over to quickly check the wiring at the gauge for anything obvious and found nothing. It was when I pulled the engine hatch that I noticed the sensor and what I would assume was a handyman repair to those wires as the spade connector used didn’t match any others and the wiring “just” reached. Anyways, put new spade connectors on and the gauge has read steady since. It must be Monaco specific, as the Bluefire still reads coolant temp fine with that gauge disconnected.

V band clamp

If you need it immediately, surely you could purchase a new slot bolt (also called an T-Bolt) and nut from your local hardware supplier and replace the broken one. -
Oddball electrical problem in my Dynasty

Interesting. What happens when you remove the new smoke detector? Was this a linkable smoke detector that had an extra lead? Is it polarity sensitive or anything? Chirping every three minutes is commonly due to the backup battery being too low or not installed -
For 50 bucks, I’d just replace it. https://shop.findmyrvparts.com/monaco-rv-bay-heater-temperature-snap-disk-1011371-p/190308.htm

If you bypass the snap disk, it will always be on won’t it? That runs on your house batteries as well. Be careful. I’m assuming for this scenario you would be using the heater switch to energize the 12VDC coil on the relay and wiring the heater leads across the contacts of said relay? If that’s the case, then the switch is all that controls the heater. No temperature regulation. Correct me if I’m missing something. Fwiw, I questioned the functionality of mine as well, turns out it just wasn’t cold enough. Once it gets closer to freezing it turns out it worked just fine. Never had an issue. The light only comes on when it’s heating.

Great information everyone. As always, I appreciate you all taking the time to respond. Looks like I have some more research to do before I make my final decision. Will post my decision and hopefully results in early spring. @throgmartin, You still in the awning/slide topper side hustle? Perhaps we could do some business.
