  1. One thing I added to my receiver/hitch/riser/towbar setup that I use is a hitch tightener from Amazon to reduce the play, there’s a certain amount of play in the receiver and the riser and I wasn’t comfortable with the play I had between the two connections. It seems to firm up both connections. I ended up with a 6” riser to have a flat tow bar for my 19 Jeep Rubi.
  2. I’d say you’re extremely fortunate to have it break at under 10 mph, that could have been ugly at hwy speed! That one picture looks like the bottom of the receiver has been cracked for some time, it appears to have a bit of rust showing that!
  3. Any heavy truck parts house should have what you need, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliner, Some NAPA outlets etc…… all the newer trucks are plumbed with this type of fittings. FYI
  4. You might be able to find what your looking for here, https://www.nwrvsupply.com/product-category/switches-bezels/
  5. Steven, I appreciate the offer sir! forgot to ad, no bomb in my coach, maybe that’s the issue, idk!
  6. I’m in Minnesota. I’ll try and get some pictures tomorrow, as mentioned a bit earlier in the thread, my FIL passed away a week ago so we’re still working through his passing. Thanks for your help!
  7. As posted last Wednesday on the first page, that is also part of the problem as well. I can’t get OTA television, put a new King Air antenna on and nothing is coming through.
  8. Thanks Dave, The last time I was hooked to cable, I scanned the channels, got them all set and the sound was coming through for “Big Bang” but that’s not what we were seeing, I kept changing the channel until we found “Big Bang”, then changed the channel and the sound stayed on “Big Bang”, I thought it was strange!
  9. I don’t believe I have any such switch.
  10. To my understanding it’s when I change channels on the TV.
  11. Thanks to all that have replied to my question, sorry for the lack of responses, my FIL passed away and we’ve been working through all of that. Hopefully I can get back on track this week and get this sorted out. One question I had in my post was about the sound not following the channel change, if anyone has ideas on that I would appreciate what your thoughts are. Thanks to everyone.
  12. Have you let it run on engine pre heat with a cold engine to see if it’s actually working correctly without the light on the control board being on?
  13. Sorry to open an old thread but these are probably the folks that can help me! So we purchased our coach a little over a year ago and other than our trek back home from Oregon we’ve only used it a handful of times and watching tv is somewhat down the list of activities. So with that here’s what I need some help with, I installed a new king air antenna because the original antenna was completely gone from the roof, I can’t seem to get any OTA TV stations, the original tv booster seems to be working and it powers up the new antenna so I left it in place, I don’t know if it’s compatible with the King Air….. it appears to be the same one that came with the King Air Antenna……. When we plugged into cable I received stations but, I seemed to only receive sound on one channel, in other words when I changed the channel the sound would not follow…… I thought that was strange…… When I put in a cd it plays just fine. I removed the panel above the drivers seat with the antenna booster power switch, satellite controller and charger/inverter control panel just out of curiosity to see what’s all up there and to make sure nothing was disconnected…. I looked up in the audio/visual cabinet above the passenger seat, I found a couple of coaxial cables and I’m not sure where they’re going or coming from or supposed to be plugged into…… man for all the cables and wires! Holy crap! One coax cable has a phone cable taped to it, I’m assuming it was taped together at the factory, my guess is that it is heading to the rear bedroom TV, just a guess! At this time I’m not interested in using any type of satellite receiver. After reading this post I now know I can experiment with a VCR as a cable input, thanks for that! I’m certainly open to any ones advance or opinions! 2005 Monaco Dynasty IV Thanks in advance.
  14. I have a 3’ long Snap-on torque wrench that goes to 600 ft lbs, that’s how I do mine, I know my post has nothing to do with the torque multiplier question, just stating how I do mine.
  15. I’m having troubles with the drawer in front of the passenger seat in our coach, every once in a while it will pop open and slide out while going down the road, I wondering if anyone else has had this problem? I took the drawer out the other day and discovered that there’s a rubber stopper/retention piece on the back of the drawer slide that keeps it closed that over time is showing some wear, what are other folks doing to correct the problem? I looked on KV’s website a bit but didn’t find any parts for the repair, realistically I just need the stopper/ retention pieces for a fix. I could bend those tabs in a bit but it gets tough to reinstall the slides if the drawer is removed and it’s not really a long term repair for the issue.
  16. I’m in the same place, looking to update my stereo.
  17. As jacwjames stated, I wouldn’t drive it any further than necessary if at all, could be a bad injector or injector o-rings or who knows, if you can keep it contained to just an injector, hopefully that will be the only issues, it would be extremely cheap compared to anything more. I remember on another forum a owner had a bad injector and ignored it, ended up putting a complete engine (ISL 400) in his coach. JMO.
  18. Maybe this will be of help, https://www.velvac.com/products/mirrors/shop-rv-mirrors
  19. I’m assuming you are referring to the dash vents that are supplying AC/heat from the main engine…. No heat from my dash vents with AH on, only place I get heat from AH is through the remote heat exchangers, one under the dash storage drawer between the pilot-co pilot chairs, one under the J couch, one under the toe kick in the kitchen, one in the head, one in the shower room under the sink and one in the rear bedroom. 2005 Dynasty Platnum IV 40’
  20. I needed to purchase a new one a year ago after I purchased our coach from the original owner, he had told me he tried twice to have it repaired only to have it fail not to long after the repair so he gave up. I wasn’t going to mess with it. Our new one seems to dry pretty well, some of what I’ve read was that because they are only 120V they tend to take a long time to dry clothes, we were actually impressed with the drying time on the new one but we don’t over pack it. JMO.
  21. I’m thinking that it should be cold enough to test it during the day up there, as long as your system is working correctly you should be fine, only way to test it is, test it! Jmo. Im three hours south of you. My Dynasty stays warm in the wet compartment. On an Exect, I would think that there should be a hot coolant line from the engine to the Aqua Hot to heat the boiler fluid that flows to the wet bay heat exchanger when called for to maintain temp while traveling in cool temps, again, jmo! Just as you should be able to heat the engine with the Aqua Hot on and the switch turned on at the dash to do so, as long as the previous owner didn’t short cut any repairs to the system, that’s the $64 question!
  22. Fwiw, I tried POR a number of years ago on an oil pan that was starting to rust, it did look nice when the job was completed but it didn’t stop the corrosion. I used the there process as recommended. If I was to do the battery trays on my coach, sand blasting would definitely be on my list of preventive measures. Just my experience
