  1. My coach's solar wires travel down thru the fridge cover on the roof, thru the fridge box and into the basement. Pretty easy to find them. Pull the fridge cover and see if they are stubbed out there. If not, you'll have to get a tracer like Bob's and use that...BOL....Dennis
  2. I posted these several months ago but thought it appropriate to repost here. You coach is open to all kinds of critters. I had 'droppings' on my engine just below the bedroom so I put a camera inside to see if I could find what critter was hiding out. I also put out a large trap. Here's what happened.. vid one is the first night vid two is the second.....Dennis Vid One.MOV Vid Two.MOV
  3. Wow! That's good to know. I was referring to the Mini....Dennis
  4. Don't know about the SG but even the Mavic's top speed is about 17mph so I doubt the SG is faster. If your racer won't go over 17 mph it probably doesn't need to be filmed.( 🙂 ) .. Dennis 🙂
  5. Interesting video. Thanks for sharing...Dennis
  6. Only critique I'd make is you look way too serious. The scratching of the head was priceless!....enjoy. I think the video quality is fantastic for that and not having to pay $1500 to get it....Dennis
  7. The reason I asked about any expertise with electrical is you don't want to go messing with things that can curl your hair or worse. That said: You say you checked the 'breaker' and it's ok. Is this breaker on the inverter or the breaker box? There should be a button breaker on the inverter itself. It's often overlooked because of it's small size and only a push type breaker. The breakers inside the breaker box sometimes can also appear to be ok when they're not. Turn off all the breakers inside the box and turn them back on to reset them. If that doesn't fix things, then you'll have to dig deeper. So, start at the beginning and start tracing things. You've checked the fuses with a meter, so it appears you've got some knowledge so that's a leg up. Start with your battery bank and check all the wiring to make sure your cables are clean and tight. Batteries are fully charged. Now look in the battery bay for a fuse. It should be somewhere close to the battery hookup. Ensure that fuse is ok. Use your meter and walk forward from your battery bank. This should help you identify where the loss of power is....hope this helps...Dennis EDIT: I forgot to include this, so I'm doing it now. This is the service manual for my transfer switch....D Intellitec Transfer Switch.pdf
  8. Chuck, we don't offend easily. Click on the link in my earlier post. Many of the issues we experience have to deal with the particular, and /or peculiar way in which the mfgs put our coaches together. That link will take you to other Damon owners which may be better able to direct you to the proper location of any hidden fuses. Otherwise you might simply be chasing ghosts as we're not familiar with how your mfg put your coach together. Good luck on finding the gremlin....Dennis
  9. Chuck, I can't help you much as this is a Monaco forum but often checking fuses by sight is not efficient. Use a meter and check each fuse to ensure they are good. Usually radio fuses are either in line fuses or could even be inside the unit. If you don't get an answer here, THIS may be of assistance to you for your particular situation....Dennis
  10. Activate your battery boost switch and try to start the generator. Let us know what happens. Check the breaker on your inverter and make sure it's not popped. How proficient are you with electrical components? Do you have and know how to use a meter? Thanks...Dennis
  11. Every HF I've gone to has a mark down bay, usually at the back of the store. One of your drivers failed and they gave you a new one. Depending on the warranty time etc. they might have simply said sorry. That they make you whole again shows they did the right thing. Now if you returned the entire set and they simply gave you a new one then that would be fair also. That they will try to make a few pennies on the open package should be of little concern to you. You could have asked them what they will be marking it down to and maybe purchase it then that might be an alternative. How far you have to go to get to the store is irrelevant....Be safe, go camping....Dennis
  12. Is that an early birthday present?????
  13. Offer up, Craigslist, whatever is available in your area. Put a price of $25 bucks. You might get lucky. Otherwise maybe some boater nearby needs an anchor. Mine went in the dumpster as no one wanted it. I only give junk two weeks to sell before I scrap it.....Dennis
  14. We expect a full report, including your first crash ... :) ....Dennis
  15. In the event you did NOT get the instructions with the new keypad. Here is a LINK to download it. Yes, you have to program a fifth digit to unlock the bay doors....Dennis
  16. Only way to access it is to pull the fridge. That said, it only has to be moved about a foot or so and if you're a contortionist you'll be able to get up there and remove it. IIRC it's a push in and seal it up kind of thing. Install is the reverse of removal....Dennis
  17. Go in and talk to the Store Manager. Not an ASM but the SM him/herself. Depending on the store, you might still be in luck.....Dennis
  18. It might be useful to note in this thread, my regulator is set at 55psi and I have plenty of water pressure INSIDE the coach for showers etc. This is for a reference point as to whether 55psi is sufficient in a coach. Things that can affect water coming out of the spigot can be dirty filters, plugged screens, failed valves or leaving the outside shower faucet on with the shower valve off. Oxygenics provides a shower head that mixes air with the water to make you 'feel' like you have more pressure. Anyway, my point is, that 55psi is sufficient. Upping that to get more water out of the shower head will be a futile attempt if any or all, of the previously noted issues are present.....Dennis
  19. Mine went in thru the emergency window in the living room. Without the doors it was tight but doable. I think I had 1/4" or so......Like Richard said, your RV tech was smokin some good stuff that day. My Samsung purrs away and it's been in use since 2012. The only reasons I've ever replaced a fridge, other than that POS Norcold was because of the color or because it was too small....Dennis
  20. The tip off was he said he was a Nigerian Prince. :) Not everyone we come in contact with is a scam artist, nor does some of the things we encounter cost us money. I didn't interpret the op's post as anything more than a public service announcement. He was contacted by someone who, after the initial contact, failed to follow up or respond back to the op. Was it a scam, who knows? OP was just providing a heads up, which I, for one, appreciate......Dennis
  21. I like a lot of their tools, but my dad always drummed one thing into our kids heads. I can hear him shouting down to me from heaven as I type this. "NEVER COMPROMISE SAFETY". HF tools are cheap, use them toss them, but for safety items, buy the best you can afford.....Dennis
  22. Not really Tim... Norcold was involved in a class action suit several years ago. If you had a Norcold (certain models etc) you could opt into the lawsuit. Since my Norcold (which failed twice) was one I joined. The payout was somewhere around $1100, payable July 1st every year for three/four years. This was the final check of $113 plus some change. The other years were around $330. I don't have the exact figures at my fingertips. If that's important to you or anyone else, I'm sure someone on here has the exact figures. If not, I can dig them up. I used the three previous checks to buy my Samsung residential and simply tossed the Norcold in the dumpster. This one is going to be used to upgrade my GPS...Dennis
  23. Received my final check today. I bet Norcold is glad to be rid of all of us....Dennis
  24. There's a process you have to follow and it's not a simple plug, push buttons and viola, it's all good. Read everything beforehand. After resetting mine, I never did get it correct. (then again, maybe I'm challenged) Finallly changed out to seelevel systems....Dennis
