  1. George, the wires for the Smart Wheel run down the steering column. They usually connect at floor level with but connectors. I would check there or anywhere else that they are exposed for a loose connection. Hope this helps.
  2. Moe, with fan wide open, the transmission or engine will not reach operating temperature. On my 07’ Marquis, the transmission was running 136-140, engine 155-160. With new wax valve, transmission now runs at 170-180, engine 185-190. Fuel mileage went from 4 MPG to 6 MPG. Not to mention all the stress on the fan spinning wide open. Quite an improvement. Hope this helps.
  3. Moe, here is a web site that addresses your problem, http://sourcerv.com/conversion Also if you have the wax valve installed in your coach, here is a site that you can buy a new wax valve way cheaper than any suppliers in the USA. https://www.whitehouseproductsltd.com/products/hydraulic-motors/hyd-gear-motors-fan-valves/dynamatic-fan-drive-motors-valves/553-1-09857-210-thermo Very reasonable price wise, and 5-7 day shipping. The valve is screwed into radiator or is screwed into upper water tube from engine to radiator. Very doable for the average guy with mechanical abilities. If you have the electronic control module, it is best to convert to the wax valve set up. Hope this helps.
  4. Paul, I would get my axle weights correct before I paid any attention to what the pressure setting is. It takes several attempts weighing the coach, adjusting regulator, reweighing coach, before you get to a set point on regulator. Once you are satisfied with axle weights, then make a note of where your set pressure is at on regulator. Hope this helps.
  5. Kurt, I try to get as much weight on drive axle as possible with steer and tag within specs. When doing this coach should be fully loaded with fuel, water, and whatever else you may be hauling or towing. Hope this helps.
  6. Rick, it should be higher. The best way is to weigh all of your axles with trailer attached, then adjust accordingly to your weight placard next to drivers seat. This takes all the guess work out of it. You will have steer, drive, and tag axle weight limits on the placard to go by. Do not exceed the weight max for each axle. It may take several attempts weighing to adjust regulator to proper pressure. In most cases, the front axle will be maxed out in relation to the drive and tag axles. I personally like as much weight on the drive axle as I can get without overloading the front. Hope this helps.
  7. On my 2007 Beaver, the solenoid that is controlled by the salesman switch is in the rear, in the engine compartment on the right side. With salesman switch on, you should have power on both sides of solenoid. If power to just one side, solenoid has failed. Take the terminal with no power and hook it up to side with power, bypassing failed solenoid. This disables and bypasses the salesman switch, no more inadvertently turning off salesman switch. Hope this helps.
  8. I have a friend with a 2002 Dynasty that black/gray tanks set above fresh water tank. Monaco did this more than you would think.
  9. Rick, There may be a LPG sniffing device that is turned off. It overrides the gas valve when it detects propane that may be leaking. Mine was located under my propane refrigerator on my 02’ Marquis. After shutting off main disconnect switch, cutting power to coach, LPG detector needed to be turned back on manually, once coach was powered up again. It will not allow the gas valve to open until it is turned back on. Also, make sure valve on tank is open. When filling with propane, they shut the valve off. Easy to forget to turn back on. Hope this helps.
  10. Ryan, Hydro hot will override coach heating when demand for hot water is excessive. Water heating takes priority. It shuts down zone pumps for interior heat until the boiler fluid reaches a set point. If diesel burner is on and operational, it reaches the set temperature then activates zone pumps for interior heating. Just driving in cold weather for a short period of time with the diesel burner off will most likely not heat the boiler fluid enough to reach set temp to activate zone pumps. Also, some Hydro Hot boilers do not have the engine pre heat feature. The Aqua Hot models do not have the override feature for interior heat. Once boiler fluid reaches set temp, zone pumps and fans will activate. The Aqua Hot’s all have the engine preheat feature as far as I know. This is my understanding of the differences between the two. If anyone else has more knowledge of the differences between the two, please chime in. Hope this helps.
  11. The rocker switch next to the seat is most likely the engine pre heat for cold temp starting of engine. Has nothing to do with interior heating of coach. What model of Aqua Hot? The manual I posted above is for the AHE 100-01S and AHE 200-02S. The manual covers both models. I believe they used these models in 2000-2002 coaches. They also used Hydro Hot for this vintage of coach. Need more info from OP to give more precise info.
  12. Ryan, here is the Aqua Hot service manual, page 29-30 is what you are looking for. http://www.aquahot.com/files/service_manual/AHE-100-02S Service Manual Rev. B 9-27-2011.pdf Hope this helps.
  13. Scotty, I replaced both the high and low side fittings on my ‘02 Beaver at the compressor pump with custom made fittings made at Cold Hose in Florida. https://coldhose.com/ Used heavy duty bolt clamps to connect at rubber lines. If you have to cut off existing fittings, the new ones might need to be made longer if you don’t have enough slack in hose. You might try to find someone that can crimp the new fittings on your line if you have room to work, instead of using bolt clamps to secure new fitting. After installing new fittings, ran coach for 2 years before selling, without having to recharge system. Hope this helps.
  14. Walter, on my ‘02 Monaco Beaver, there was an ignition solenoid in the front run bay that is prone to failure. It is a continuous duty 85 amp Cole Hersee part # 24059. https://www.amazon.com/Cole-Hersee-24059-Insulated-Continuous/dp/B000Y82X4E/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMImPOUzZ2X7wIV9iCtBh1gggaAEAAYAiAAEgK9gvD_BwE&hvadid=153669387986&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9029184&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=15534776271438728711&hvtargid=kwd-54404101170&hydadcr=5710_9180210&keywords=cole+hersee+24059&qid=1614881330&sr=8-3 Same symptoms that you describe. Hope this helps.
  15. Turn off power to coach for a few minutes. That might reset it. Hope this helps.
  16. Eddie, if it holds at 0 and 34 you should be good to go. Give it a little time to bottom out. Also, get in, get out of fridge quickly. It takes time to recover if door is wide open for an extended period of time. Hope this helps.
  17. The diagram above does not show Signature listed in the models the FDCA module was used on. Some of the higher end coach’s did not use the electronic modules. If he has the FDCA setup, then the Source Engineering setup would be the way to go to convert system to hydraulic controlled. If no FDCA module, then the thermo/wax valve replacement is an easy swap out. I bought my replacement thermo/wax valve from Whitehouse Products in the UK for less than half the price of the suppliers in the USA. Shipping very reasonable, received in 5 or 6 days. Hope this helps.
  18. It is called a thermo/wax valve. https://www.whitehouseproductsltd.com/products/hydraulic-motors/hyd-gear-motors-fan-valves/dynamatic-fan-drive-motors-valves/553-1-09857-210-thermo On my 07 Marquis it is screwed into radiator inside engine compartment. I have also seen them screwed into metal water transfer tube connecting radiator to engine block. Hope this helps.
  19. Eddie, If it were mine, I would not run it on electric or propane if it was not close to level. JMO. Hope this helps.
  20. Eddie, is the thermometer in the fridge or freezer? 32 degrees is great for the fridge side, 10 or below for the freezer. Also, it is critical that the coach is level or as close to level for the unit to work properly. If it is not level you can damage the heating coils requiring replacement of the coils. Hope this helps.
  21. Eddie, on the Norcold there is no blower, just the sound of the burner operating. Takes roughly 24 hours or longer depending on outside air temperature to cool down. Keep at it, you will figure it out. Hope this helps.
  22. Eddie, check to see that the circuit breakers for the inverter are on. These will be located in the AC circuit panels in the coach. I believe also that there is an on/off switch on the inverter, make sure this is on also. Your battery cutoff switch should be on, I would turn it back on. As far as hooking up the new batteries correctly, that is definitely a possibility that something was overlooked when installing. Hope this helps.
  23. John, when I replaced my gas struts on the engine bay door I had to get a bar clamp to compress them slightly so they would engage the ends. Also, you should have two stops on the door assembly that you can shorten to allow door to lift to its maximum travel distance, giving you a little more distance between the mounting studs. Fairly challenging project, but if you take your time it is doable. An extra hand helps also. Hope this helps.
  24. Just replaced all my marker lights with this company. https://www.kaperii.com/led-clearance-and-marker-lamps Great customer service and an exact match. L14 0026A and L14 0026R. Hope this helps.
