  1. I would flush it with distilled water and drain it. Install Fleetgard ES Compleat. Million miles before needing changed. Gary 05 AMB DST
  2. Is aluminum solderable? Gary 05 AMB DST
  3. OH! Sorry. I have driven out of a park with one slide out till I noticed it. DUH Gary 05 AMB DST
  4. I have seen RV's being driven with slides out. Maybe a wide load permit could be used. Where's the closest WalMart? Gary 05 AMB DST
  5. Tom, mine is vented also. I feel the same way on unvented.
  6. The April FMCA magazine has an article on "BUC-EE'S, A Cultural Phenomenon". Gary 05 AMB DST
  7. Thanks, but I have my main breaker box above my current 2005,1.9cf Splendide washer dryer. I'm hurting for space. With the main bath and W/D in the rear of the MH, I have to remove the bedroom window to get it inside the RV or cut a hole in the exterior wall like Tom C suggested. I'm leaning toward a Black & Decker model with 2.9cf drum. Still considering Tom C's suggestion. Gary 05 AMB DST
  8. I currently have a Splendid. Is it compact washer? Gary 05 AMB DST
  9. It's time for a new washer. Don't need a dryer. Any recommendations? Thanks. Gary 05 AMB DST
  10. What is the attraction of Buc-ees? Low fuel costs? Gary 05 AMB DST
  11. This happened to me in CA. The pitch of the driveway was so steep that as the front wheels were on the street and the rear were getting off the driveway, the rear of the MH dragged on the driveway pitch. I was towing my Jeep but it got out OK. Gary 05 AMB DST
  12. Wasn't this discussed in the last two months on the site? I thought that the fact that the new ownership of Coach Net has lowered the standard for their tows or am I wrong? I didn't renew my Coach Net this monrh, I was going to go with FMCA. Gary 05 AMB DST
  13. What was the line up Monaco brands in that time frame? I think that curved aluminum roofs were the standard in that time. The previous owner may have had another type of roof installed. I'm glad mine is aluminum. Gary 05 AMB DST
  14. Are these photos on the passenger side or is this your actual service bay on the drivers side? Looking at the photos, it looks like the passenger side access bay I have on my 05. If or when I install a new tank monitoring system, I will mount the sensors on the passenger side of the bay. More room to install it. It's a shame that we just follow what is already there, even though it makes the job harder. Thank you! Gary 05 AMB DST
  15. You cut into the black and gray water tanks? Is that allowed? Your water level sensors are on the wrong end of the tanks. Which MH are these pictures of? LOL Gary 05 AMB DST
  16. You can never get rid of the sand on the rear, that's science. You want to stop the sand from getting into the front side of the radiator. Covering the stone guard should be best way. I am assuming you have a rear radiator.
  17. Loel, I don't know how we could see if it is working, unless you had one of those probe cameras. Remove the tank sprayer and look in with the camera. Gary 05 AMB DST
  18. Les, if you could cover the stone guard under the engine, it would probably reduce the sand getting into the radiator on the in side. Gary 05 AMB DST
  19. After months of research on stopping the blockage of a residential toilet, I have discovered that one tbs of granular Oxy Clean, put in the toilet, will dissolve the blockage. If the water level is above normal, it will fall with the Oxy Clean and can be flushed. No more plunger. Liquid Oxy Clean, when sprayed in the water after flushing, will remove any leftover stuff on the toilet. No more washing the toilet. Throw away that toilet brush, it is history. Now to the real reason of this post. I feel that if you flush a tbs of Oxy Clean down to the black tank once in a while, it would dissolve what is on the bottom of the tank and no more buildup. Oxy Clean is cheaper than the rv tank cleaners on the market. Gary 05 AMB DST
  20. Do you think that vent was there for a reason? Why block it? Gary 05 AMB DST
  21. Looks good plus you took a lot of weight off of the flat floor slide. I always hold my breath when I bring in the slide. It seems to put a big strain on that $900 motor that used to be $365. Gary 05 AMB DST
  22. Sorry, DR4FILM made me think. I had a 160a but switched to 200a. Gary 05 AMB DST
