Jenny Woods Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Hello all! So I drove my 2006 Monaco Executive down to Ocala Florida and in the way I noticed a pipe loose, I bungeed it till my destination and then it completely fell off. I need to get it fixed before I run my aqua hot and have a carbon monoxide issue. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance your all so helpful!
DavidL Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Any auto muffler ship can fabricate what you need. They just have to want to work on an RV that is big.

Based on all the clamps, it’s been replaced before…should make it easier to replace again. Use the electric unit you fabricate a new one.
Jenny Woods Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 Sorry what do you mean use the electric unit you fabricate a new one? Do you mean use the old pipe that fell off to fabricate a new one? I am not a welder nor mechanic 🥹 but could use the advice to head me in the right direction. Thank you Ivy Thanks David for posting the downloads that will be helpful for many things! Also I’ll look in the area for a muffler company that could accommodate my rig!
Bill R Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Maybe all you need is a muffler clamp strap. See link as an example. https://www.ebay.com/itm/404624656819?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=404624656819&targetid=1645685073328&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9027188&poi=&campaignid=20133407470&mkgroupid=147476396765&rlsatarget=pla-1645685073328&abcId=9312979&merchantid=114153962&gclid=Cj0KCQiA4NWrBhD-ARIsAFCKwWsl0Db8etmSy2bBBL4uUOGZMdG1DoFZmmQOGIBOvkXGg_xLG12LVjsaAtYQEALw_wcB
Jenny Woods Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 I think it will need to be welded on at opening? Do you know a muffler person in Florida?
Frank Bergamo Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 I think he means to use the electric mode to heat the boiler instead of the diesel mode.
vito.a Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 No. The Aqua Hot exhaust does not weld onto the exit pipe. It slips in and then clamps. I used two stainless steel hangers from Summit Racing to secure mine. The factory hangers were not very sturdy. Replacing Aqua Hot Exhaust pipe hangers - iRV2 Forums 3
Twomed Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 His name is Steve "AquaMan" out of central Florida 908-875-6375. OR https://ocalahitch.com/ Hitching Post Ocala Both get high praise. Should be able to help you or at least direct you to a shop they use for pipe work. 1
Romeo84 Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Steel exhaust flex pipe is what I used when mine fell off going down the road. But mine was gone gone. You can still fix yours.
Mike H Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 If you're in the Ocala area just take it down to Lazydays in The Villages. That used to be a Monaco Service Center and they still have many of the old Monaco technicians there. I have been very pleased with all the work I have had them do for me, and without trying to up-sell me additional repairs.
Dr4Film Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 Hitching Post of Ocala is an Aqua-Hot service center only. They do not do exhaust pipes or removal and installation of old/new Aqua-Hot units. I use them for Aqua-Hot service every year. When I needed an entire new exhaust pipe on my Windsor, I took it to a Auto Repair shop in Bunnell FL where they fabricated a new exhaust pipe, installed new clamps and secured the fiberglass insulation to the new pipe.
