  1. Just be careful with Simple Green. Not good for an aluminum radiator (if you have one). They make also have a product that is safe on aluminum
  2. I did look in that area first and all appeared ok. The adapter cable I bought makes it so a plug goes into the video plug on the new monitor but it seems like it is not getting power. I’m going to test the cord today for power. I started this in the late Fall and am now just back north at the Coach and getting back into this
  3. Late last season the rear Aladdin monitor that is bedside quit. It still had power but no display. So I purchased a replacement but wasn’t able to get it functioning. I bought an adapter cable so I could get from the factory plug to something the new monitor would accept. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated. Here’s a couple pics
  4. You will need a CCC2 thermostat for each unit. Some say that you need an extra gasket for each unit due to the integrated drain system. When I pulled off my first unit it was clear that the two gaskets were compressed all the way to the drain so the end result was just like what would happen if one gasket was used so I did not stack gaskets. Be sure to get a tube or two of a highest quality sealant to use liberally around the area where the drain goes through the gasket.
  5. Good thing you keep the wine close at hand 😳. Way outside of my knowledge base. Good for you. Best of luck with the project.
  6. Just insane pricing in my mind. Sure would like to hear how they make out with the repair. Sure hope they know what they’re getting in to and didn’t bid because of how pretty the coach is.
  7. That’s the switch I bought after your previous recommendation Richard. Works great for me. So much better than the original switch setup.
  8. I think 87k is crazy money. Of course the insurance company doesn’t have a clue regarding the core issue. The amount of time and risk associated with the possibility of getting it back on the road is huge. If I had the expertise and time to undertake the challenge I couldn’t see it being worth more than 30k to give it a go. At least that way I could recoup a good part of my investment if I ended up parting it out
  9. Be sure to check if you have voltage at the motor when the switch is activated. When mine died it ended up being the switch.
  10. Seems like I’ve heard that a short time ago 🙄
  11. Looks like afterburner nozzles from an intergalactic star troopers backpack
  12. FYI when I replaced my units last year I called Dometic to get a clear understanding on the units. The Rep. told me they do not make a true 15k unit. Their 15k Penguin II is actually a 13.5k unit with a bigger blower motor. I did end up buying their 15k units as I wanted the max output. I did consider other manufacturers also but I ended up with the Dometics for the lowest profile.
  13. Push in on the outer ring and then pull on the hole while keeping pressure on the ring. Make sure the groove behind the ring is relatively clean so the outer ring can move in towards the fitting without obstruction. As mentioned, once you have the line out cut off about 1/4” and reinsert it. This will stop most fitting leaks.
  14. Just an additional point in case you are not aware Grizzly. Be sure to dump all of your air before trying to remove any line and never get under the coach while the suspension is energized with air.
  15. My radiator is a different one but it did come with the mounting brackets. They had sent me blueprints to confirm evert before I placed the order. Did they send you any drawings? I sure would have thought that they would have been on yours.
  16. I would fill it with water just before I hit the road. Have a good trip!
  17. I think the 550lb capacity that you Mention is much higher than needed. Certainly in a case like this more is better but I think the actual weight on each isolator is somewhere around 200-250. I ended up using the existing ones when I replaced my radiator since overall they looked in good shape.
  18. Paul can you post the info for purchasing the capacitors and stepper motors please Thanks Steve
  19. That’s good to know. I may order some stepper motors and try repairing my 4 in 1 gauge that I just replaced with a new one from NWRV
  20. My unit only has one electric element so I end up running with the burner most times
  21. Seat cover look good. The rest of your Jeep puked up its innards. 😳
  22. I had mine done maybe three years ago now. I also continue to be very happy with the quality. They had a matching set of mine finished and in stock at the time so the turnaround was only the shipping time. Great folks and top shelf work. I agree that getting them off and disassembled takes a little time but it is so worth it. I continue to be satisfied every time I walk by what used to be an eyesore.
  23. Thank you David for maintaining an excellent forum and a special thanks to all that help maintain and contribute to all things Monaco here. I so appreciate this great site. Merry Christmas and Happy and Healthy New Year to everyone!
