  1. Two years ago I had a 500 gal septic tank with a 25' drain field installed beside our hangar/barn where we keep Monaco. I was installing a bathroom out there at the same time. I did the trenching and pipe work I paid a local skid steer operator who did septic installs to do the tank and drain field. He charged me $1,500 which included the tank and drain field sections. At our previous house we used the macerator and a 3/4" hose to pump about 50' to a connection to the septic cleanout.
  2. We left our coach, and didn't stay in it, over a year ago. When we picked it up it was in the gated annex and plugged in to 50A. Great folks, great service. Excellent work.
  3. Mine only works when I hold down the intermittent button. Very annoying when it's raining.
  4. We have the same problem. Our windshield even leaks slightly. We had a glass shop look at it - twice. The glass tech said our entire windshield had shifted slightly to one side. He said he did a temporary reseal. Didn't work, still leaking. We have a small chip also that is growing slowly. When it gets big enough, I guess we'll just get a new windshield.
  5. When mine stopped, I took it apart and found that the impeller was clogged mostly with hair (not mine - I hope). Cleaned it and it has worked for a couple years with no problem. I like the sanicon and have always used it. We even had a macerator pump on our 96 HR Endeavor we drove for over 20 years.
  6. Our Dynasty came with that same desk and table configuration. Love it. My laptop and printer fit perfectly. All the related equipment and wiring are hidden out of sight in the cabinets underneath. Our birdcage sits in the corner so our cocatiel can look out the windows while traveling. Since there's only the two of us, we have no need for two sofas.
  7. Maybe put in an electric or induction cooktop and eliminate the tank? My coach has no propane tank. And - I don't miss it.
  8. I need to get the DS slide top back cabinet wall off so I can get to the wiring for the back side window shades. I took the two screws out but it won't budge . It looks like the carpeted bottom was installed after the side. I hate to start tearing things out unless I know what I'm doing. My other option is to just cut the two 2 conductor wires going to the two shade motors. I hate to do that either. I need to get the shades down to roll them back up properly. Impossible to do when the shades are hanging only by the wiring. Suggestions appreciated.
  9. Isn't there plates on the bottom where the rollers are? They aren't in your photos.
  10. We had to do the same. Our toy poodle, Tootsy, had to be put down yesterday, Good Friday. She was 13 and had been very ill for some time.
  11. I had a 1996 Holiday Rambler Endeavor Diesel with the Howard Steering System. Twice in 20 years (and 90,000 miles) it blew out the seals. Power steering fluid filled up the air vent bottle, overflowed, and made a nasty mess in the compartment where the system accumulator is mounted. I took it off - two big nuts on each end, two small air tubes, two hydraulic fluid tubes, and one electric terminal plug. It took less than an hour but required the help of a cheater pipe, hydraulic jack, big hammer, and cold chisel. I boxed and shipped it (UPS, about $40) to Lake Tools Hydraulic Repair in Sulfur, LA after talking to Jess Harper there. It took about 5 weeks or so for them to rebuild it ($900 + shipping back in 2014). I bolted it back on, hooked the air and fluid tubes back up, and reconnected the electric connector to the trim solenoid. I did have to readjust the cylinder to get the trim to center correctly which took about half an hour. I can attest that Lake Tools is up to the job. Expensive, but isn't everything associated with a motor home? You can call Lake Tools and talk to Jess Howard at 337-625-5737. Just FYI: I liked the system as it made driving less tiring. But, my DW (who drove just as much) didn't and never used it. Everything breaks eventually. Good luck.
  12. Our experiences with the Cummins Service Center in Tampa were completely the opposite. That shop is a disaster. We used it twice - but never again.
  13. Tom: My coach came with the Trojan HydroLink watering system. I stick the fill tube into a jug of distilled water and squeeze the pump a few times until it won't squeeze anymore. All the batteries get filled to the proper level simultaneously. Very simple - very easy. My golf cart used the same system for years until I converted it to lithium. Is the Flow-rite a simpler, easier, and more efficient system?
  14. We just sold our 96 HR Endeavor DP the year before last. Everything was still working fine. We did replace the TVs with LEDs. the fridge, a slide motor, batteries, tires, etc over the 20 years we had it. We had a lot of good times in that great coach. We also had a similar experience as jacwjames with the Cummins Service Center in Tampa. Terrible shop. We only sold our HR Endeavor to get more slides and an engine (ISM) strong enough to easily tow our Escalade without any problem.
  15. I used a mobile mechanic a year ago on our 96 Endeavor. He worked for Tampa Mobile Service associated with Camping World in Dover, FL. Their phone number is 813-696-3390. The tech drove more than a hundred miles to get to us down in North Port. He came down from around New Port Richey. I think his name was Chris Grob. His phone number was 813-279-3466. He fixed our broken slide motor in one trip. If you're willing to part with your coach for a few months, there's Lazy Days in Seffner. Chris T (throgmartin above) with Talin, in Brooksville, did an outstanding job on our slide guardian plates.
  16. I would stay far away from the Cummins Service Center in Tampa. These guys can do more harm than good.
  17. Not trying to make you feel bad - but, I paid $150.00 to have my original hitch welded back on at Joe's Hitches in Dallas - in 2005. The hitch on our 1996 HR Endeavor hitch broke off at the welds. The back side was still connected but the front receiver dropped almost to the ground. We were travelling and wanted to get back on the road. Joe's rewelded it in one day. We pulled a 2004 Chevy Tahoe about 70,000 miles with that rewelded hitch. Finally sold that coach last year. And, BTW, I have never had good service at any Cummins Service Center.
  18. I ran our home Starlink from the 12V plug on my Tesla using an inverter similar to what JD Crow suggested above. I had to use a 50' extension cord from the inverter (the Tesla was in the garage) to the Starlink router in the house. We used it hooked up to the Tesla for 9 days while we had no electricity after hurricane Ian. While we were surrounded and trapped by high water, we had Internet when no one else in our neighborhood did. Also note that the Starlink antenna survived while just clamped to our standing seam metal roof. It had already started raining when I thought to take it down and our roof was too slick for me to get up there in the rain.
  19. The entire tow hitch broke off our 96 HR Endeavor about 20 years ago. It broke from the coach at the welds. Thankfully, we were going slowly up a grade on an exit ramp from Interstate 20 in south Dallas. The Brake Buddy breakaway stopped our car. Someone passing us alerted us moments after it happened and we stopped immediately. We drove the coach and the car (separately) to Joe's Trailer Hitch (if I remember right) and they rewelded the hitch to the coach. One of those "almost" disasters. We were lucky that time. Here's the moral: "Eventually, everything breaks."
  20. I've had a couple problems that I suspect are related to the chassis multiplex system. Keep me in the loop on what you determine. Thanks for letting us know.
  21. I installed one in my 96 Endeavor about 20 years ago. It was fairly easy. Much better picture than the old tube unit that came with the coach. But, around 15 years ago, I converted all the old TVs to new, larger LEDs which had a better picture than the projectors at that time. Make sure the projector you're considering can work at the close distance you're considering. I had to put mine further back than I wanted because it couldn't handle such a short distance.
  22. My 2009 Dynasty came preconfigured for the AFO. I only had to install the parts required on my Escalade. Fairly easy. Only the cable for the brake pedal was a little difficult. I love the AFO. I got the wireless alert system for the MH. It takes about 1 minute to hookup! Just plug in the airline and connect the breakaway cable. No need to open a car door except to shift the 4 wheel trans case into neutral free-wheel. Great proportional braking. I love it. I hated the Brake Buddy that I used for over 20 years! Anyone want a Brake Buddy or a Remco transmission oiler system?
  23. Here's the window sticker from my 2009 model similar to yours. Check out the option price for that ISM! Window Sticker.pdf Sorry, I guess I don't know how to attach a PDF to a reply. I'll copy it to a JPG and try it again.
  24. I had the front of my Escalade done with the spray-on film. Looks exactly the same as the hand-wrapped stuff. The installer said it can also be peeled off, if needed.
  25. I have a used Brake Buddy for sale. I bought the AFO. Love it. Also a good choice.
