Guest Early arrival?

Posted

Is there an option to arrive couple days early?

I looked at the venue, it seems to be dry camping?

Thank You

Dave,

Yes, there is an option to arrive early. I’ll verify, but you may have to call. I’ll post a firm response here.

Camping in “Camp Duffy” - our primary location - is full hook up and there are about 50+- sites left at this moment.  Camping in the “Rocky Road” sites is electric + water and there are dozens of those sites.

No one should be dry camping unless they just want to!

Will they be weighing Coaches?

At this point, we don’t have access to scales to bring to the Gathering.

Last day to register?

At this point we haven’t set a last day to register, so long as we have 40 coaches registered by Dec. 1.

Practically it will be dictated by the catering contract, so likely about a month prior or January 18.

If we don’t have 40 coaches, the last day to meet that requirement is Dec. 1.

You should have received an email after registering with instructions for the camping site. If not, let me know.

I heard from Sun n’ Fun this morning, and although they had some trees down, no damage that would affect the Gathering!

We now have 40+ coaches registered, so it's definitely a go!

Scotty; 2 years ago I attended the gathering at Lazy Days outside Tampa. There was an option to attend the event without bringing your RV. I flew down from New Jersey and had a motel within walking distance from the event. As I’m going to the Keys 9 days after this event, I would rather fly down  get a motel room and rent a car so I don’t have to drive RV twice from NJ to Florida. Is that option available this time? And if so at what price. Thanks.

Yes, we have a few others doing that.  Just go through the normal registration, which includes the event and evening meals.  This year camping is reserved and paid for separately, so just don’t reserve a site.

The costs will be:

$450/couple
$275/single

Just as reference, here are the total costs including camping:

$655/Couple ($450 event+meals, ~$205 camping)
$480/Single ($275 event+meals, ~$205 camping)

How do I cancel our registration for the gathering?  We have to cancel our Florida trip and will be unable to attend.

I received your email and took care of it for you.  You should have a separate email from me with details.

From Camp Duffy to the Prop 75 building is about 1/2 mile or 12 minute walk

From Rocky Road Campgound to the Prop 75 building is about 0.3 mile or 6 minute walk.

Scotty,

How do I sign up for the inspection that Chris had mentioned? I never heard any details of how to get one.

Thanks,

Thanks,

We haven't put the signups up yet.  When we do, there will be an announcement.  Probably during the holidays. 😉

Signed up for the event and camping registration. We were only able to sign up for camping in the Rocky Road campground (guessing that Camp Duffy is booked up) We are curious however that the camping fee is the same for Rocky Road as Camp Duffy as there is no sewer available in Rocky Road. It seems as though there should be a lower cost for Rocky Road, any explanation?
