The only explanation I can give is that they discounted the sites pretty heavily to help make the event work this year.  If I recall I paid more per night when we stayed in Rocky Road last February.

I will ask Cindy, tho...

From Camp Duffy to the Prop 75 building is about 1/2 mile or 12 minute walk

From Rocky Road Campgound to the Prop 75 building is about 0.3 mile or 6 minute walk.

Looks like we might be able to attend, depending on when our newest granddaughter arrives, however my wife and I are concerned about the amount of walking. Will there be  shuttles available from the farther campgrounds? Is there a deadline for registration? Thanks.

Sun n' Fun is working on trying to get a golf cart vendor.  We've had some interest. Stay tuned.

The deadline for registration is Wednesday, January 15th. I have to have final headcounts to the caterers on the 17th.  I'll put that on the front page.

I registered and found a camping spot in Rocky Road. I am looking forward to the seminars and want to sign up for a coach inspection (one of the main reasons I'm coming.) I hope I don't miss the email about how to sign up for the inspection. I'm going to be accumulating my list of questions to learn during the session.  Thanks for having this event!

Our family has had our coach for about 10 years now and have loved all the memories we've created. Now I want to make sure I can keep it in good running condition as my wife and I transition to the next phase of life owning our Monaco.

Team Monacoers:

  • Been lurking online in these an incredibly informative forums for a year...
  • Looking forward to attending my first Monacoer's event next week.
  • Now my FIRST POST/ QUESTION

Since my <soon to be upgraded> towable is staying at home in Durham NC

AND my complete DISLIKE of HOTELS,

Any recommendations for a solo traveler to stay close to the Gathering

(otherwise I'll just find the closest AirBnB to Lakeland Sun n’ Fun Expo Center...)

Right now it’s slated to be on a private FB Group for registered Gathering attendees.

We’re discussing how to handle others that might want to view.

Samaritan's Purse

Dear Monacoers,

Thank you for your generous support of Samaritan's Purse. We greatly appreciate your partnership as we work worldwide to provide physical and spiritual aid to suffering people in the Name of Jesus Christ. Your generosity will enable us to continue sharing the love of Christ and the hope of the Gospel.

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

Dear Monacoers,

We cannot thank you enough for standing steadfast with Brother Wolf. It has been difficult navigating the loss of our shelter, but we're continuously uplifted by caring and supportive people like you who deeply believe in our mission. Your unwavering compassion and generosity mean the world to us and to the animals who depend on Brother Wolf. Every day, I get a firsthand look into the incredible difference your donations make in the lives of the animals at Brother Wolf…

You’re making a difference for dogs like Betty Jane. The sole survivor of her litter, Betty Jane overcame a harrowing battle with Parvovirus thanks to your support. She not only survived—she thrived, finding a loving home with a woman who had recently lost her four-legged best friend and didn’t think she was ready for love again. But the moment she met Betty Jane, everything changed, and now they’re sharing a beautiful new beginning together.

You’re making a difference for cats like Billie. Rescued from beneath the charred remains of a burning house, she was weak, terrified, and covered in soot. Thanks to you, at Brother Wolf she received urgent medical care, a safe place to heal, and the love she desperately needed. Billie is now playful, affectionate, and enjoying her second chance at happiness!

By supporting Brother Wolf’s work, you’re creating new lives for suffering animals. Lives free from pain. Lives full of happiness and joy. Every life we save, every animal we heal, is a direct result of your generosity. We could not do any of this without you. From all of us at Brother Wolf, two- and four-legged, thank you for being an essential member of our lifesaving team.

Very nice. So wish we could have participated. I think it would be great if there is a donation like this during future gathers that you are able to post it on the forum so us folks that are not able to be there can contribute to the great causes that you choose.

Also, we are hoping to see and hear many of the details from the rally.

As a North Carolina Resident....I want to publicly congratulate the folks that came up with the "charities" for the donations.  Western NC was hit hard and the relief efforts appear to be a bit "bogged down".  The Samaratan's purse is a wonderful organization.  I support it as well as the V Foundation as I KNOW that none is "skimmed" for overhead.  They do such great work.  The others were also great.

Monacoer's should be PROUD of what was accomplished for those in need.

We had a BALL there.  Great GROUP.

Scotty and company....  VERY WELL DONE.  Best I have been to...
