  1. I just replaced our expansion valve last week. It is up front above the generator. It has two black AC hoses connected with some black A/C insulation foam over the B nuts. I first removed the hoses. Then peeled back the insulation and broke the nuts loose and it came right off. I had to buy some new green orings when i reinstalled the new one. Part number: EGELHOF AC Expansion Valve 1268300384 / 0751.0003A 321300S Picture attached.
  2. I also have a 2004 model Monaco. We have A/C ports both up front and in the rear engine compartment. You can spot them by the red and blue plastic caps over the Schrader valves. I used the vacuum pump on the port up front for about 30 min and then moved it to the rear engine compartment ports for another 30 min. Then recharged from the rear port. Also, the dryer is up front just to the left of the generator and the system takes 4lbs of R134a.
  3. Just a guess. Maybe the transmission speed sensor? Its on the rear of the trans which is towards the front on a diesel pusher. I'd check the wires coming out.
  4. Link to another thread with pictures and part number for the catalyst muffler: https://www.irv2.com/forums/f124/acert-delete-406164-4.html
  5. For a lot of us the weights vary day to day. Some gauges are not arcuate and scales will vary. I add 5psi for a safety factor. It's better to be over than under.
  6. Brent, that is one of the nicest flooring installs I've seen. Looks fantastic! How long di you need the coach for that install?
  7. You can contact Paul at AZPETE. He works for HWH and can answer your questions. His email ispfmaddox@att.net and his phone number is 602-549-3638. Sounds like your leveling sensor may need adjustment. See this link for replacing and adjusting the leveling sensor. https://www.irv2.com/forums/f115/repairing-hwh-2000-series-leveling-system-in-a-monaco-coach-389075.html
  8. I signed up for home but probably will not get it until later this year. The RV service will be a major break through.
  9. First try the simple fix. Remove all power from the coach and shut off the batteries and inverter. You should have an Aqua Hot system reset on the light display board,. Do a reset (make sure you cycle the power off/on first). Then with power back on, cycle the main diesel burner switch off/on a couple of time. You should have been able to turn the thermostats off (black slider switch under the thermostat) and turn off the front blower fan.
  10. Rick is the original Eaton integration engineer that worked with Monaco to install the Vorad system back in 2003. He knows the system inside and out. He still has a work bench and can reprogram your ECU to the newest version. Make sure to tell him if you have diamond or round shaped side sensors. It's a great system and the new coaches are only just now catching up with a smart cruise system.
  11. The main issue with replacing Monaco diesel coach seats is the seat belts are built into the seat.
  12. You're brave! That's smart doing them right there in the coach. Those seats are really heavy. Mine are below. The one on the right is the extra wide queen seat.
  13. Just wanted to say the alternator fault light will normally come on if you are plugged into shore power or the generator is running. Hope you get it sorted out!
  14. First I would open/close all the basement doors and inspect the switches. Also cycle the key on/off a few times.
  15. The dash A/C probably needs serviced. I'd install a new dryer, evacuation, then recharge with 4# of R134a. Ours uses a 4 Seasons dryer # 33276. Just over $20. It's located up front on the passenger side of the generator.
  16. A long thread on the Sauer Danfoss wax valve. There are a couple of DD60 coaches in this thread, but the idea still applies. We are getting new wax valves from England at a good price. Fan stuck wide open - iRV2 Forums Also, the Signature should have the A/C condenser up front just behind the front axle with a small fan. So, it does not require the engine fan for cooling.
  17. A large percentage of the time (maybe 90%+) the leaks are in the air solenoid valves, or "6 packs". They need new o-rings installed both inside the solenoid and also where the air lines insert into the solenoid. You need to get the coach up in the air because after you locate the leaks you need to bleed the air down to work on the solenoids. If you do not have a lift, build some ramps from 2" X 12" boards stair stepped together. Someone also posted a link to a leak detector spray product on Amazon that is superior at finding leaks. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001B00LOS...v_ov_lig_dp_it This process takes lots of time and patience and very few shops have either. HWH will work on your system if you are near Iowa or Paul Maddox. A good way to start is to pre-purchase the needed o-rings. Mike Canter suggests you use Dupont Viton orings. The internal oring is a -019 size, the large one on the bottom is a -028 and the small one on the bottom is a -015. Then remove the 6-pack valves in both front and rear and rebuild them. Label all wires and air lines. It will help to have a special "pin wrench" tool and cannon plug pliers to get the valves apart. Here are some links to get you started: Air leak in chassis leveling system You Tube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChLo7eTBRdE Hope this helps.
  18. Yes, you need to remove the front tires/wheels or access will be difficult. You should start by airing the coach all the way up on the air springs and support the frame with 22 ton jack stands. Then air it down. (This allows you to remove the bag without trying to compress it.) You also need to remove the bristle brushes and lower shock mount. Use a regular floor jack to support the front axle weight only. This allows you to lower the axle and easily pull the bags out. Start reading at post #1265 and then the next few pages. Mike is a true craftsman and an expert on these coaches. Mods/Upgrades to our 2003 Dynasty - Page 91 - iRV2 Forums Hope you get it as a 2008 Signature is one of the finest coaches ever manufactured.
  19. Magnum has great custoner service. Their inverters are built here so they also have spare parts and hundreds of service centers. They will also work with lithium and solar Victron is great if you are going to add solar and/or want Bluetooth. Xantrex are made over seas.
  20. I've had the same thing happen. It's usually because the air tank has not pumped up all the way and/or the suspension is completely aired down. I touch Cancel, wait a minute and touch Travel again and all is well. And, I've had the touch panel and the leveling computer updated.
  21. Our Windsor came with Goodyear's and they were definitely unsafe. We had so many blowouts Good Sam dropped our coverage. We finally figured out the Goodyear's were unsafe and replaced them all with another brand. Luckily the Windsor was a pretty safe coach and we did not have any roll overs. The key is not to jam on the brakes. But, the tires sure did tear up a lot of stuff when they blew.
  22. Your thermostat version must match your A/C control board version. To use a new generation programmable thermostat you must also install new A/C units. Your current RJ11 cables (phone style) will work with the newer units. Dometic used to sell a conversion control board so you could install the slightly newer 5 button thermostat on the older 4 button A/C units. They have since moved on to an even newer generation with a programmable thermostat, so the old 5 button conversion boards may be difficult to find. You can rebuild the 4-button thermostat or send it in and have it rebuilt. Frerichs Electronics Or here: REPAIR SERVICE of YOUR Duo Therm 4 Button Thermostat Dometic Part# 3106463007 | eBay
  23. The Salesman switch turns on/off a large relay in the front run bay. The front run bay is the compartment outside below the drivers feet. Have someone flip the salesman switch on/off while you listen for a click noise inside the compartment. You will see large red 12v cables attached to each side of the relay. Once you figure out which one, then use your voltmeter to see if there is power on both sides when the salesman switch is in the on position. If the relay is bad (which happens often) you can add a jumper cable from one side to the other until you can replace it.
  24. Monaco purchased seats and furniture from Villa International. Call and ask for Mike. He's a great guy. He was able to look up our original furniture order from the Monaco Unit Serial number (not the same as the VIN number). 25. Our coach has the sub-wolfer under the kitchen sink. It is mounted to the outside wall.
